the size of the room. cleanliness of room. helpfulness of staff. breakfast wasnt as good as i expected, toaster kept burning the bread because it kept sticking, and the hash browns were dry and hard ,no fried eggs on display,my fault as i didnt read the menu till too late and i could have ordered fresh |

The newly refurbished room was very good, albeit a bit small - OK for the weekend. The breakfast was ecellent, as was the table d'hote meal both in variety and quality. |

the staff were friendly, and the breakfast was perfect. we didn't take our evening meal in the hotel, but the menu looked really nice. we were very close to alternative restaurants, and just a 10 minute drive from the bullring. it is quite difficult to find but one would expect this with any large city; sat nav helps! |

Double room was spacious and clean but no hairdyer found. Bed was very comfortable. Staff were a little standoffish, not a warm welcome. Did not seem anxious to please. |

The room, although small, was well equipped and spotless. The bed was probably the most comfortable one I have found in any hotel. The en-suite was also first class with a full size bath and an excellent power shower over. The food and service in the restaurant was also excellent. The only quibble was that despite being resident we were charged for the car park. Admittedly this was not high [£3.50 per day] but would deter us from a prolonged visit. |

helpful restaurant staff Understaffed reception and bar, Overheated room, bare heating pipes on two sides of room meant room far too hot even for a wet day |

This was fantastic value for money, great location. The breakfast and the evening meal was very good. The rooms are quite small and not well soundproofed, you do tend to hear everything in the next room and the corridor |

Appreciated the fact that I could get access to my room prior to the the published entry time. Breakfast facilities in the dining room were better tahn good even though the hotel was very full. |

The staff were friendly and helpful, room was comfortable and the food very good. The location for my purpose is excellent. I was not happy that they charge guests to park their car in the car park provided |

Two night break included breakfast and dinner on one night - restaurant standard fair. Room was reasonably well equipped. Room slightly cramped due to design of building, inner rooms have view of the somewhat ugly light well in centre of building - but we didn't spend much time in the room so this wasn't a problem. |

The stay was excellent particuarly our breakfast waitress who was outstanding. The only downpoint was the view from our bedroom window which was a grey wall. Just the view |

I was pleasantly surprised with the modern decor, and friendly staff. The restuarant staff in particular were very nice, and couldnt be more helpful. The hotel is an unsual shape, circular, so the rooms are wedge shaped, but very comfortable. |

Handy walk tgo city and food good, drinks expensive!! I kniw ut was a special 2 day deal but I am afraid the room was too small and as it had a heating pipe running through it and a radiator it was far too hot during the night even though we turned off the radiator all day. Too hot and too small!! |

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff were efficient and courteous. The hotel's own restaurant and a number of other eating places in close proximity make this a good option for business travel. |

The hotel was very clean and tidy. The buffet breakfast was excellent. This hotel was a short bus ride or walk into Birmingham to shopping areas, canals, museums etc, etc. Children were welcome. I would use this hotel again. There was no airconditioning in our room and it was very hot, I was unsure how to open the window at night especially if there was a fire. I should have made myself aware of this safety precaution. |
