Although small the rooms were clean and comfortable. Impressed with the secure carparking for a reasonable price. Extreamly disappointed with the very poor breakfast service. Me and my partner went down for breakfast at 10.00am on Sunday morning to find that there was hardly any hot buffet left. Serveral other guests were already complaining to the staff about the little to no choice of hot breakfast. When asked (albeit several times by various guests) to fetch out more food the food that was brought out was luke warm at best. We complained to the Manager who informed us that a delivery of food that was expected that morning had not been delivered. (Very poor excuse, relying on food to be delivered on the morning it is needed, if indeed this was the truth). The Manager refunded us our breakfast, we wasn't the only ones either.

I stayed in this hotel on 3 consecutive nights, however, I was only asked to pay the 'compulsory' parking fee once. Which I found strange and very irritating.

Excellent breakfasts, good availability of buses on route into Birmingham. The extra evening meal was taken on the first night after flying in from Tenerife. Reception called a taxi after the one we had booked was very late. . I was close to the Botanic Gardens where I attended a conference and I was in walking distance of the venue. It was excellent for getting into Birmingham. The room was rather cramped as the hotel is designed with wedge shaped rooms and for two people was rather cramped. We had to bring three cases with us and they took up quite a bit of room in the space available. Helpful staff, but the receptionist we chose to ask for local news had just come up from London and couldn't help us. He did offer London advice, we were going on to London, but we didn't get the question we asked answered and I do think a book of information should be kept on reception to help visitors. It would not be that difficult to compose such a book.

Very little !! The Hotel Bar was friendly and strangers mixed together well. The rooms are small for a Hotel claiming 4 star status and are very stuffy. Yes they have signs saying "ask for a fan from reception". That they have theses signs tells you they know it is a problem !! Whilst there are 2 lifts only once in 3 days did both work. And they are small. With the chioce of Hotels on Hagley Road much better to choose one of them than here !!

The bed was comfortable, and it was not far from the city centre It was tired, and run down, and this was reflected in the staff.

Good location. Single room very small. Extra charge for hotel guest for parking. Wifi in room did not work for the first night. Poor facilities, not able to heat up ready meal, hotel did not have microwave for guest use, and staff were not helpful to provide or suggest alternative.

The staff were very rude and had zero people skills. Very hot rooms, no working telephone and very thin walls; all reported without apology. It appears to be their normal service. It wasn't all bad, they were able to order a taxi for me to leave.

Local to where we needed to be. The shower did not work - we only found out about it at 11.30 pm at night, otherwise we would have asked to move rooms.

The location was good, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The restuerant served well cooked food.Plenty of good seating area around bar area, and drinks werent overpriced for a hotel. Our bedroom was spacious and comfortable. The bedroom was too warm and couldnt open the windows, but i turned radiators off.Still needed to open window to get some fresh air but couldnt, had we been staying longer we would have said something.

The room decor was poor, all pine wood and floral curtain covers. Not what I expected from a 4 star hotel. The reception area was modern and gave a good impression but the room was very dated and not what I had envisaged. I had an executive double room which conprised of two single beds put together which isn't too bad except they were different heights by about 3 cm. So not the most comfortable night. Also we had one towel and one gown, this was rectifed quite promptly after I had to search the room as directed by the reception staff. And the windows rattled and banged alot during the night, it was a windy night but still kept me away for the majority of the night.

The room was nicely laid out and clean. The heating was not warm enough, had additional heater but was not hot enough, windows were whistling and noisy all nite. The bathroom radio and extractor fan did not work, would prefer a 12 checkout and late checkout is 10 hour which I think is expensive.

The rooms were very modern. The water in the shower was very cold. The room got very hot at night that it was unbearable to sleep even though we had turned the heating off and it is the middle of the winter. In addition to this, I know this is not the hotels fault but we were next to the lift so could hear this all night and other people staying at the hotel kept banging on our door throughtout the night and making lots of noise which meant we got very little sleep.

Other than the location of this hotel it didn't have a lot else going for it. The staff were rude, generally the impression was because we were a young couple as the staff seemed extremely helpful to elderly couples staying. The room we stayed in was unbearably hot and uncomfortable. The general cleanliness was poor as there was hair in the bath and grime and dirt up all walls in the room. I was severely disappointed with the hotel and would not return for even half the price I payed.

The location of the hotel was convenient for travelling to New Street Station and shopping facilities. The parking was great and very convenient as we parked in the underground car park. The hotel service we received was excellent - we called room service and they came to our room within 5 minutes. The food we ordered was very good quality. That did not spoil our lovely experience at this hotel. Sky Sports was great and movies were available in the room free of charge. We will be booking again soon. Staff were friendly, with the exception of one male staff at breakfast in the main restaurant who asked me whether my credit card had been swiped in advance just when we wanted to sit down to breakfast. This was annoying as we were told we could charge it to our room - bearing mind I had already paid for our hotel room on arrival. The sound proofing in the hotel is poor as you could hear the TV in the next room and goodness knows what else but this is not the fault of the staff.

I really liked the ambience of the hotel. The only criticism I have is that the room was too warm even when I kept the window open. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was lovely overall a great experience thank you.

Nice comfortable quality hotel with plenty of car parking for a reasonable price. It is also within reasonable walking distance (aprox 30mins) of the city centre. Good value compared to centrally located budget hotels. Breakfast was also good.
