The location is great...just five minutes from the underground and buses arrive and depart right in front of the hotel. The room reeked of cleaning fluid. We were only given one tiny bar of soap for a week stay and the message waiting system on the phone was impossible to use without help from the staff. |

Everything - the staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and dealing with all requests straight away. We actually witnessed a very rude couple speaking to a member of staff whilst we were there and she couldnt have been nicer to them. |

Easy to locate, excellant position for getting around, room spotless and pleasing to the eye, will recommend. Coffee and tea making facilities in room would have been nice. |

We were upgraded to a deluxe double with excellent bothroom facilities. The breakfast was excellent and the hotel within walking distance of Theatreland (the reason for our trip). Oxford Street is only 3 minutes walk away for shopping and The British Museum just around the corner. The position and comfort of the hotel is ideal for a long weekend and I would certainly recommend it. I think the room would feel a little small if staying longer than a few days. Also you would need more drawer space as there was only one small drawer for both of us. |

The room was adequate--supposedly upgraded to a deluxe twin, which was on the small side, but it was enough space, and it was newly remodeled so it looked fresh and clean. The location, with the British Museum around the corner, was very good for our needs, which is why we selected this hotel (along with the reasonable room rate). Although this did not affect us in a negative way, we found that the staff often seemed to be confused about things---our reservation, the price of the room, breakfast being included or not (the breakfast room staff were not very attentative), and the conceriege was often away. |

Good-looking room, modern design, comfortable and not too noisy even though on the street side. Room service at 11pm was good, nice food. The immediate area around the hotel is lacking in charm, you need to plan your evening in advance otherwise you end up using room service like I did... |

In a good location for shops, British Museum, Covent Garden, and rail links to the North. Lack of attention to detail in our room: 2 people staying in the room, 1 set of towels and no bath mat on 2nd day. tea tray not fully stocked each day. |

The helpful staff and the cleanliness, also the closeness to shopping areas etc. The noise from the traffic |

The location was great for shopping at Oxford Street, taking a walk to Covent Garden and going to the theatre, very good location and very nicely decorated!!! The shower took almost 10 minutes to get warm!! Annoying but not a deal breaker! |

I've stayed at the hotel for many years and the recent refit that has taken place was long overdue. It is now a very modern hotel which has the look and feel of a 4 star hotel in a great location |

Location, location, location! Very comfortable room Had stayed there in the past before the recent renovation/change to very modern decor.Given the heritage exterior of the hotel and the area I think it has been a mistake not to continue with the "country style/english" decor as it has decreased the charm of the hotel considerably |

I really enjoyed the stay, a simple, clean and good hotel in the heart of London. Internet should be free, most hotels I stay in have free internet and of course the minibar was missing. You have to call roomservice every time you need some beverage. |

Hotel was clean and nicely decorated. Good location. The bed was a little too firm. Few "extras" in the bathroom (eg no facecloths, limited toiltetries etc.). No decaffeinated tea available in the restuarant. No trouser press (but ironing board provided). Internet access through BT was expensive. |

The room was very comfortable and had everything I needed. The man that actually helped us with changing our room the second nice was so pleasant and considerate and really wonderful The woman that checked us in both days was a very rude and unfriendly person. If it had not been for the man that was the exact opposite, I would not consider using your hotel again. |
