A well appointed hotel in a good location, the attitude of the management and staff is clearly directed towards the comfort of the guests. No particular gripes, complaints or disappointments. A bit pricey, but then you get what you pay for.

The hotel was in a brilliant location right on the seafront, just a short walk to the pier and clubs, out the back was the restaurant we booked into right across the street. The rooms were really nice and comfy. All the staff we met were really friendly and chatty. Overall our time at the hotel was excellent and I would highly recommend this hotel and definately stay in this hotel again when I return to brighton.

The location is fantastic - right next to the Laines, with their quaint shops and restaurants etc - and just across the road from the famous Pier. The rooms have all the comforts you need, including an iron and ironing board (sadly lacking in most British hotels). The breakfast buffet is excellent, with a large variety of dishes to choose from - and a wonderful view of the Pier! There is a large underground car-park, with lifts that take you directly to the Reception area. Nothing, really - although we found that, maybe the price of drinks at the bar are rather expensive.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful Outside the hotel,s power but I think if you reserve a parking bay and are willing to pay 24 hour parking the space should be reserved for you. Brighton does get very busy on a Saturday afternoon. However this is a ncp car park so not under the complete control of the hotel.

We are a family of four staying in Brighton for the Marathon and The Thistle catered for all our needs. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Room clean and comfortable. The option of family rooms a definite plus and the use of the pool and showers after running the marathon was pure luxury. Oh and the breakfast was delicious and there as something for all tastes. There was a function/wedding taking place on the Saturday evening and the music was very loud, so loud it woke my husband up at 1am. The cost per night for a family room, £238, a little overpriced.

Lovely hotel, great location over looking the beach, spacious room no complaints. Only one complaint & that was the price, had just spent 2 days in London over looking Tower Bridge & room was £ 200 cheaper for same duration. Also stayed at many hotels throughout the world & this one has topped the list as most expensive & even though have no complaints it certainly is not the best I have stayed at. It's a shame it will be remembered for this reason & not for anything else.

Friendly staff Exploited the Marathon event -£220 a night, and then having to pay for breakfast and parking felt like a rip off. Rooms 441 and 443 were 'tired' to say the least, mini bar not working, Hen nights returners woke us all at 2 am -not what a marathon runner wants.Peculiar inside location of rooms detracts from location -worth £150 per night, inc B&B and parking if refurbished. Staff Hoovered round my feet as I sat in the lobby.....however breakfast staff were lovely on what must have been an unusually busy morning. Without good staff attitude this hotel would be one horrible 70's throwback.

Room was nice, good location right in the centre of the town with easy access to shops, restuarants, bars and the pier. Swimming pool was far too small for the hotel and was very crowded. Very difficult to go swimming in there as it was to small to do lengths of any sort even if the pool was empty. The charges for wireless were absurd as well considering the price and that most restaurants or pubs offer it free of charge.

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was amazing, right in the middle of everything, with amazing views of the sea and the pier. Didn't like the condition of the facilities in the hotel. Although we had an exclusive room, you could see that the hotel management haven't invested any money for renovation for a very long time.
