Free WiFi and did i mention the free WiFi. i will come back just for this, sad i know but to pay money for the connection to get a few emails is rubbish. To give free WiFi ensures my future custom!!
We loved it and didn't want to go home. The bed was really comfortable and the location just perfect. Thank you!!
We would have loved to stay an extra night, but had to go home:(
Location is perfect for shopping.
noisy guests in the room opposite mine at 4am.
location lovely waitress in afternoon very chatty and helpful
back from meal in town at 11pm wanted to sit in upper area to people watch ! seemed to be an inconvenience even though we were drinking loo hard to flush
hotel was excellent
had no record of booking from Booking.com. Just lucky that they had room on a Saturday night and were willing to give us the same price as we had the email booking with us. First time booked with Booking.com and doesn't inspire us to book again unfortunately.
Location, has parking , hotel facilities, comfortable bed, great views
The duvet wasn't warm enough for the winter and there was no additional blankets in the room. We asked for an additional one as the room was a little chilly also which we were provided with
No air circulation in room, bright lights and expensive
Previous time kids ruñning around playing games in bar till late at night
Good location and car parking underneath the hotel
Busy breakfast and hotel
The staff were very friendly and professional at all times
The hotel looked very worn and grubby firm the outside. We got hardly any sleep on the night we arrived which was a Saturday due to the extremely loud bar/club inside the hotel banging out music until gone 1am. The doors in the rooms were also in need of repairs, we were woken up everytime someone in a near by room went to the toilet by the doors making a terrible noise.
Nice room with lovely comfortable beds. Very pleasant and helpful concierge
Water pressure was very low - might be because we were on 4th floor. As a resident disappointed not to be able to sit by the windows in the lounge area to view the sea.
The hotel was perfectly located for everything with a short walk to the lanes, shopping restaurants and bars and also right on the sea front. Staff helpful and friendly.
As I was travelling with a friend to celebrate her forthcoming wedding I requested a bottle of Prosecco on arrival when I booked. This had been overlooked and it was not in the room which spoilt my surprise however the reception staff arranged for a complimentary bottle to be delivered to the room but this was after the event and did hamper the celebration slightly.
Young couple next door arguing through the night and throwing things around
The position just near the Pier and Royal Pavillion. Lots of choice for eating
The cost of parking for the night
Job to find hotel reception from car park (no sign till you get to lift)
Unable to open any windows ,no fresh air Air conditioning would not cool the room
Spacious Bay view room, dining room and indoor areas.
Outside look of hotel was poor and not welcoming. Hotel advertises car park but, be warned, this is a council car park and can sometimes be full. Also our room had a intermittent motor noise which the staff could not account for but we found out ourselves it was the motor for the car park lift! Luckily it happened less at night. Be warned also noise from taxi pick ups in the early morning hours outside the hotel using the u turn road directly at front door of hotel but most nothing to do with hotel. Shame this spoilt the position of the hotel.
i liked everything about this trip, staff were excellent, hotel immaculate,
I have stayed in a number of hotels / b&b's in Brighton over the years and nothing compares to the Thistle hotel. This is my 3rd visit to the Thistle and I refuse to stay anywhere else. Superb friendly staff and great location!
Loved the location, the spaciousness of the hotel. The breakfast was amazing, the omelette bar and the pancakes! Really good location, really central for shopping...
The only downside was the bed, far too soft and I woke up with terrible backache.
Helpful staff Happy workers Fab location Gorgeous view of the seafront Shops nearby
Dog barking in the next room
Hotel location is excellent. The facilties are great and this horel is very comfortable and good value for money. The pool and fitness suite is a good added bonus.
Website advertises quality toiletries and gowns and slippers. They don't tell you that the gowns incur an extra charge! Very misleading.
As suggested above, breakfasts are excellent better than the De Vere. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Rooms comfortable
Car park difficult to access
