pancakes and chocolate croissants hard - breakfast overpriced
Staff were always eager to please and friendly.
The heating wasn't working (in November) and eventually we had to use an electric fan heater. Window was an old single glazed sash type and let through lots of noise from the street below.
Reception gruby. Flat sheet as base sheet on bed not fitted sheet.
The photos you've marketed your facilities make the place look fantastic it's a kick in the teeth on arrival and everything is 10 times smaller than expected
Perfect location near city attractions, great views of Old City quarter, but also quiet in rooms - despite wedding function in the hotel. Great location for shopping, sightseeing or evening entertainments.
Location, nearby lanes and bars, good bistro bar area in hotel
Room a bit dated, parking a bit cramped
This was an ideal place for exploring the centre of Bristol. The breakfast was lovely - plenty to flll you up!
The fire alarm went off 4 times during the one day (and night) - I received a free breakfast for my lack of sleep.
We got to use the gym and pool facilities across the road for free. There is an awesome coffee place right next door to the hotel.
Had to pay additional £8 for overnight parking.
friendly helpful staff , spa great!
Generally poor and over priced
The Spa facilities were a big plus at the end of a intense shopping or sight seeing day, the staff both in the spa and hotel were very welcoming and friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. The rooms were warm and comfortable and being able to soak in a real bath an added bonus.
The breakfast and meal prices were rather high, therefore we like many others looked outside for more realistic options, an example was we could get a good breakfast for two for less than the price of one in the hotel.
Location Nice pool Beds comfortable
Saturday night wedding guests made sleep impossible - parting and fighting in nearby rooms till 3am lifts a little slow Log-in on wifi a little clunky
We have stayed many times my only concern is that the rooms and bathrooms are now looking a bit tired and in need of updating. No make up mirror in the room !
Very good location. Very nice bar and restaurant open at all times. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.
The room standard was possibly not up to four star level.
Very central location
Very noisy at night. Kept awake by wedding party.
* friendly and helpful staff * free wifi * very good bed * generally well looked after hotel
* couldn't open window very far. * a fair bit of food was apparent on the carpet by the lift (2nd floor) on sunday morning, but to be fair this is bristol * tv was analogue, and picture wasn't great * wifi is unencrypted and uses a login page, which is both inconvenient and very insecure for guests.
Comfortable beds. Plenty hot water. Free wifi. Pleasant staff. Location.
nice room, comfortable bed but constant nagging buzzing noice in the background which makes it hard to fall asleep.... Also had to experience the fire alarm going on for no apparent reason...
Location, friendly staff, cleanliness, reasonable pricing of drinks and food. Pool, sauna, steam room and spa all clean and enjoyable.
position, receptionist and quite comfortable beds, but did not manage to order a drink in the upstairs bar as staff seemed rather distracted and so went elsewhere very useful having car parking as well
thought the bedrooms were rather plain and bathroom needs updating
Upon check-in the hotel didn't have our reservation and made us wait for 40 mins in the lobby and then they ended up having to make us another booking! The room was tiny it felt like we we're in a cupboard my fiancé gets claustrophobic and we had to keep going out for walks! We were woken up at 1am as we could hear the people in the room next to us talking and arguing when we rang reception they didn't answer we had to ring down 4 times and they said there was nothing they could do so we had to put the tv on to try and drown it out. Very very disappointed we often travel to Bristol and we are never going to stay here again over £120 for a tiny room that's not even sound proofed! We are sticking to the Radisson Blu or royal marriot as they are both lovely places to stay with organised polite staff!
Standard room 3rd floor, was good value. Large comfortable bed. Large fluffy bath/shower towels.
Very noisy extract fan for internal bathroom - which must be serving several rooms. Not possible to control from our room.
bathroom sink cracked with a hole.no heating in bathroom, only 3 star value
A beautiful hotel, close to all the action
