Everything was conveniently placed for those on the ground floor. Room was comfortable and a good size. Staff wwrere all very friendly and responded to requests quickly and efficiently.

For someone who has difficulty with steps, there were too many on the ground floor. Lift was out of action. In the bathroom there was no extractor fan operating and the control for the shower was broken. Despite reporting these, they were not repaired.

My wife Called for service and never responded. What is the use of having executive suite booking if nothing is different from normal booking? We were only given a towel between us and we asked for a bathrobe but never responded. Paying for car park as a guest is not good enough.

Very enjoyable stay, the staff were very friendly and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. We booked the executive double room which was spacious and contained all the facilities you would expect of a room of this standard. While here we made good use of the complimentary Otium Leisure facilities. Overall I would recommend anyone to stay at the Thistle hotel, when visiting this area.

Poor quality of evening meal. Dreadful service in the restaurant & sullen staff Hotel had double booked us so we had to be transferred to another hotel for one night (that was the best night).

Everything. The location which was just off the motorway, the hotel, excellent design, the most friendliest and courteous staff I thought the receptionist and the chambermaid was amazing. The town centre was close by as well as the shops. Although we had a good weekend deal, I would definately stay there again.

The facilities and location.

The was too much chlorine in the jacuzzi and it left my skin vary irritable for a few days. It also managed to bleach my black shorts brown.

Easy to get to, friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable room

£25 for two breakfasts consiting of one sausage, one rasher of bacon, one egg, beans, mushrooms and one hash brown one pot of coffee and one pot of tea, I thought was expensive.

The staff were very good and helpful. Facilities were fine. The food was good. The room was fine.

A bit strange that there was no price indicated for breakfast!! Not on the menu outside the restaurant or in the menu in the room. I did ask and was told it was because most people had a b & b option. Apparently it is 'all you can eat' for £10 - but we didn't know that!! Anyway, my wife would have had just a bowl of muesli - £10 for that is a bit steep!! So we went elsewhere and you lost some income on two mornings. Suggest you review that way of doing things and have, say, two options - the £10 one you already have and a cheaper option for those with small appetites.

It was a very good base for visiting town and surroundering countryside

The hotel was a bit too hot, I believe the heating was too high

We got a good rate, even when you include their car park charge, and the room was spacious and comfortable. Place was a little tired but fine for a one night stop-over. Harvester restaurant across the road provided decent cheap food and wine.

The location of the hotel was excellent being only a short distance from the Motorway.Breakfast was very good and I in particular enjoyed the fresh fruit.

I enjoy a good swim but hotel pool was only a small 15 metre one.A dozen people in it would make it crowded.However leisure club staff were very friendly and when I used the pool only two of us were in it so just used it for a nice relaxing swim rather than my usual work out.

The taxi fares vary from mild to serious rip off merchants,we paid in cash for breakfast but it was still charged to the bill,so had to pay again.
