Thistle Hotel and Conference Centre East Midlands Airport

Betthoehe und Bettbreite, man musste immer um saubere Handtuecher bitten und obwohl ich Doppelzimmer gebucht habe war an einem Tag nur fuer eine Person Handtuecher bereit gestellt. Erst nach Mitteilung, bekam ich ausreichend Handtuecher. Fazit: fuer 5 Sterne nicht ausreichend.

I spent only one night arrival at 00:00 and leave at 07:00 am, so no time to really enjoy the hotel.

Nice clean room, a good size.

There was no remote control for the tv...or it was very well hidden!!!The staff at reception on the night shift were a little 'abrasive'...

The swimming pool closes far too early.

The staff/service was outstanding. The food was delicious and we will definitely stay here again even if our flight is not at a ridicuously early hour.

Friendly staff

Arrived late and in dark missed illuminated hotel sign do no think it was lit t or visible and resulted in making a detour through airport carpark, through the barriers and out again. Several of the car park lights were not lit. Car park charge. Brick wall in front of bedroom window giving low light to room in morning.

Very good location - 4 mins for airport terminal. Clean and comfortable rooms, food good but very limited choice for 4 star Hotel. To note - if transport from hotel to Airport is required take a copy of the hotel description given by booking.com as transport is said to be free, reception knew nothing of this and tried to charge us £3 per person, when I showed them the booking.com description they conceded that they 'had to honour what the description stated' so we did get the free transport, useful as it was early A.m, dark, wet and my 83 yrear old Mother was with us.

Nothing major but hotel in need of refurbishment, bar settees and chairs badly in need of cleaning/recovering - threadbare.

Extremely convenience qualtiy hotel at a practical price.

No Shuuttle to Airport on departure when raining

Staff were friendly easy to check in and within walking distance to the airport comfortable and convenient

The hotel was nicely furnished, clean and the leisure centre was small but friendly. We were visting our son at Loughborough University and this hotel proved excellent value and was close enough without being in the city centre.

Not a real drawback but note that you have to pay £5 overnight car park charge!

I stayed at the hotel because it was exceptionally convenient to the airport for an early morning departure. I had also stayed at Thistle hotels previously, so knew roughly what to expect, although I did not use any facilities, other than my room and overnight car parking.

The hotel was extremely close to the airport, which made arrival much easier. The room was clean and suitable.

The staff and organisation. Having booked a double/twin room I was told on arrival that there were no such rooms available, and that my partner and I would have to have separate single rooms, or pay more for a kingsize. However, the following morning, when my partner queried this, we were told that a twin room was available, but that I had chosen to pay for a kingsize. The room we stayed in did not look like a kingsize room, as it was quite compact. I do not feel it was dealt with appropriately and clearly, which meant we paid £20 more than originally agreed.
