Thistle East Midlands Airport Hotel  

Very comfortable room. Eating facilities due to range and quality were excellent. Many options on menu for 24 hour food, very good. Very polite and helpful reception staff, making you feel relaxed as soon as you arrive.

Disappointed on arrival due to my early check in request, not being fulfilled. However, reception staff stored my baggage and offered information regarding the excellent dinning facilities. Due to the price of the room (£139 reduced to £89) I would have expected Internet access to be included. Basic coffee and tea with no biscuits was disappointed.

Good value for money at online price and excellent room. Very quiet. Close to airport but did not hear planes. Upgraded room to double room as it was available. Allowed me to check in 20 mins early so that I could get to wedding on time.

Milk missing from tea tray. A very small thing!

I liked the location to the airport, it was so easy to leave the car in your car park and walk to the airport and the same coming back. It took some stress of the holiday. We had a meal on the evening and the hole experience was including food was nice and relaxed. Will definitely do the same next time we go abroad.

This hotel provides an excellent service for travellers. We stayed overnight and got transport to the airport and back again 15 days later to pick up our car. The hotel offers reasonable meals in the bar or dining room and overall it provides a good service at a very reasonable price.

The staff on the desk sometimes dont seem to communicate all the information needed about parking and travelling to the airport.

Close to EMA, we needed to be at the Airport early and the weather on the evening prior to travel was worsening.

Noisy corridors - the floor creaks badly and the room doors do not reduce voice noise enough.

The location to the airport was very convenient. My room was very nice and overlooked a garden. I liked that I could open the window and felt comfortable that there was a security bar to prevent anyone from entering the room that way.

I had trouble getting into the wifi. The fact that the front desk only directed me to bt Openzone and could not help me was disappointing, especially for the amount charged ($33 cad for 2 days). For this scale of hotel, I would expect easy, direct access to the internet at no extra charge (as was the case at Donington Manor when I stayed there.).

Menu horrendously expensive - 12.5% service charge plus £5 tray charge for room service??? Either/or, but not both surely? The bed was far too small and spoilt our stay, most uncomfortable. If the hotel has had a makeover, surely kingsize beds in all rooms is a must. Lastly, a £2 charge to bring your car onto the hotel premises, even just to pick up? My complaints regarding price are the reason I think this hotel is ok for business use only, it is only corporate users who do not have to foot the bill themselves who can afford such things.

Creaking floor boards in the hallway made sleeping difficult. Seriously creaking...

Adjacent to the airport and convenient for overnight stay when catching an early flight next day . Free parking for up to 15 days.

Convenient to the airport

My car was not driven to another car park during my holiday. The hotel was within walking distance of the airport. It was quiet.

I stayed at this hotel before a quick checkout. It was lovely and clean. Nice staff. Good rate. I've stayed in many hotels around EMA.Never in this one....But I'll be back to this one.

Parking situation is a little rubbish... 5/Night.
