The central location made the city excessable albeit for shopping or the Royal Mile. The fact that it was 200 yds from the Station was also a bonus. |

Excellent hotel. Great location, less than 10 mins walk to the station and 15 mins or so to the Royal Mile. The hotel is connected to the shopping center. The room was comfortable and the bed was nice too. Nothing, other than the fire alarm in the middle of the night... it would have been better if they explained what was going on. |

Location is good I did leave two shirts in the room and despite a lot of attempts did not manage to talk to housekeeping, nor did I get reply on email query. |

Very nice rooms, close to train station, shopping, and sights. no noise at night. front desk service a little slow. Needed 2 people. Better directions from inside of hotel to adjoining shopping centre. |

Good location and in-room facilities. Cheap and probably value for money in respect of room quality! Too much noise from main road directly outside hotel. Poor expensive food. Dated, shabby decor. |

Excellent location with good bar & restaurant facilities. Fantastic value for money. Some of the staff were a little surly - apart from that all was fine. |

Very central location, protected parking, great breakfast facilities, really good staff and quick service despite the computer breakdown. Toilet WC needs to be updated. The seat and lid were well past sell-by date |

Excellent location, within easy walking distance of the major attractions. The room was bigger than expected with a sitting area adjacent to the bedroom. Car parking charges were expensive. |

It's location and convenience to the New Town. The price from Booking.com was excellent value for money! The hotel's exactly what we needed for a night's stay Water coming out taps in the bathroom had a slight yellow tint to it. |

All staff very helpful. Room good size and clean At times double glazing did not seem fully effective - some street noise although it did not prevent us sleeping. We were on the front - room 439 |

there was an excellant atmosphere around not just the hotel but the city staff were excellant especially the barman with the moustache and long hair perhaps if the bar was located on the ground floor doing the bar food it might be busier? |

i liked the way the hotel was very central and we found it to be very clean but a bit standard and very much just for a city break or for business trips i did not like the way we were advised that we could check in after 2pm but when we arrived back at the hotel at 2.45pm we were not given our keys to our room until 3.45pm as our room was not ready due to house cleaning |

The proximity to the railway station and centre of the city was ideal. The lifts were very efficient. There was a bit more noise from the street than I have experienced in other city centre locations. Inadequate double glazing perhaps? |

Hotel was pretty poor , would not recommend it or stay there again Expensive, £5 tray charge is excessive, Shower did not work properly, sheets were dirty, bathroom door handle was broken, got locked in twice, no view, kettle and hair dryer were very dated. Iron and ironing board were very inconvenient to use. Room was small |

We liked that the hotel was in walking distance for shopping and entertainment. We did not like the parking facilities we would not have said it was a four star hotel as the room and toilet were not very big, and we had housekeeping trying to get in our room at 9.20 in the morning. Our room was to the front of the hotel and the noise from the street was loud that was with the window closed. |

The location at the end of Princess Street was convenient. It was very clean. The bar staff were pleasant. It was vastly overpriced for facilities which are basic and felt a bit claustrophobic in its general layout. There is no car park and it is £15 a night to leave the car outside the front of the Hotel. Drinks are very expensive in the bar. |
