the hotel was very close t othe attractions Although the bed room was ok the bathroom was terrible the shower area was damp with mould in places and the shower curtain was not clean and the shower pole was very rusty. the breakfast was very over priced as there was a long wait for various items and most of it was cold you was given a cup of tea when you was seated but could not get a refill as staff said they would be back but did not have the time. |

We were very disappointed to find out that we had a front facing room. I had made this reservation a long time ahead of time and actually have the email from Chris Quigley stating that a "quiet, back facing room" had been reserved for us. Your not too concerned Receptionist advised us that it was not your policy to assign room prior to check in. This, plus the fact of the very strange location of taps in the bath-tub (we never were able to get the water to stop coming out of the shower head when trying to fill the bathtub!!!) Room #441, makes us of the opinion that we would not book with you again - primarily because of the room allocation policy - it is important to us to know that if we request a quiet room, we will indeed get it. |

stayed here many times - location perfect, great value midweek and staff are really friendly! just make sure to get a room on the side facing the back of the hotel as the rooms on the front can be a bit noisier with the traffic from Leith Street. |

A warm welcome by all member of your team. Hotel very comfortable and everything I needed was close to hand. Buffet breakfast catered for all. Will use your hotel again, when I visit Edinburgh. Unfortunately the position of my room was right next to the main road. This caused us to hear all forms of transport driving by and individuals shouting etc in the main street. |
