Great location right next to the Exeter central station. Working, relatively fast WiFi
Booking.com indicated a hair dryer existed in the room. This was not the case. Breakfast is quite expensive (18 GBP iirc), but many cafes close by
Lift out of order. Room on top floor with 71 steps up to bedroom
Friendly staff good atmosphere and traditional touches. Excellent breakfast
Lift was out of order. No real on-site eating facilities.
the staff is very efficient and kind, immediate response to our requests, apologetic for any inconveniences. excellent breakfast. tea and coffee in the bedroom. free parking during the day although difficult to get (very limited). very good internet, excellent location (opposite train station). Nice feeling of Heritage property.
mattress not very comfortable, bed moves with wheels when you sit down, lighting and furniture in general not attractive. bathroom in good condition but old. bathroom window broken. TV was not working. however all problems were solved immediately and a discount offered. Very loud music until midnight, due to evening events in the hotel almost every night.
The price and the dirty reception toilets.
Noisy outside. Bar or party noise until early hours
Squeaky floor boards on 1st floor corridor and in rooms. Could hear next room and corridor until about 10.30
paying for unreserved car parking
Clean spacious room, great comfortable bed. Location right in the centre of Exeter, couldn't be more convenient. Good quality Full English Breakfast.
Car parking onsite is very difficult to get a space in; although local car parks (Guildhall) are very close. Shower temperature a nightmare to get right. Bar soap seems like such a waste for only 1 night stay, not very environmentally friendly.
Welcoming and helpful employees Excellent Wifi Clean and tidy Very convenient location
I would have liked a daily bottle of water in the room.
Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Allowed us to park while we were away for the day although you pay £8.
Pillows were not great. Shower curtain kept attacking us.
Doors of the rooms require sound insulation - we were woken all through both nights by noisy guests returning to their rooms. Hot water fine, but cold water reduced to just a trickle! Not practical for teeth rinsing and filling the kettle...
Lift out of action twice over two weeks Consecutively fo about 4 days Door dampers on every corridor forex doors none worked so every time some one went through it banged Every floor board in the hotel moved so very disturbing Breakfast not open until 7.00 to late for most working days Car park £8 a day over two weeks that's a lot manager gave no discount fo s 2 week stay Staff not attentive enough not bothered if stay was good or not Woke experience was a bit numb Stayed in the Hilton week before which was great no comparison
Room was tired with carpet lifting. No iron in the room, took 3 attempts for staff to arrive with an iron and iron that worked
Beautiful hotel lobby. Perfect location as we there to visit the university. Breakfast perfect. My bed was very comfy and the bathroom in my room looked brand new and was very clean.
The only thing I did not like was I thought the corridors were a bit smelly. I was in afirst floor room.
Great location. Excellent breakfast. Managed to get car park space. Lovely hotel
The room, friendliness of staff and breakfast
The fact that the breakfast staff were unaware that the price of our stay included the cost of breakfast. I had to go back to my bedroom to show reception evidence of the amount agreed online. However the matter was dealt with efficiently and swiftly. And the breakfast was worth waiting for - thank you.
Beds were very uncomfortable and the walls were very thin. Could hear everything in next room
Receptionist was very unhelpful at chewck out.
The rooms and facilities were spot on for not much above what a last minute 'cheap' place costs. Staff were lovely and breakfast was great.
The phone randomly started ringing at 12.30 am and wouldn't stop until we took it off the hook.
The friendliness, courtesy and efficiency of all staff.
No complaints whatsoever.
