Lovely hotel, great location to the town and spacious rooms
Really uncomfortable pillows
The hotel is in a very convenient position for a short visit to Exeter. The room was comfortable and quiet. The staff were all friendly and helpful.
The (utterly) fixed head of the shower - no opportunity to vary direction and no hand held facility. The washbasin was small with a large central tap. The toilet roll holder was situated where most people's right knee would be. Who designed all that?
staff were great, very welcoming and called to see if the room was okay and if room service was okay too - brilliant.
Lovely room at the top of the hotel. Very clean and with good facilities. Helpful staff.
Room was a bit chilly.
Central location immediately opposite railway station. Staff all very helpful. We had a room at the back of the hotel which was very quiet (apart from early morning road works on 1 day). Special offer provided excellent value for money.
Noisy road works early one morning but this was a one off and clearly not within the control of the hotel.
Not a problem all weekend
Huge room, powerful shower and lovely breakfast with large choice
The party music until 1am and the fire alarm going off at around 11pm
Excellent location, staff friendly and room comfortable
Too much noise transmission through the walls from the ajoining rooms. Heating only adequate on what was a very cold night and i would have expected breakfast to be included in the price which it wasn't
the hotel was lovely, food was good.
I left my daughter sleeping in the room whilst I went to breakfast, asked reception to make sure the room cleaner didn't disturb her. But the cleaner went into the room without knocking. Very concerning.
Location is central for looking around Exeter and the environs
Excellent location, friendly staff and great service. Free Wi-fi and the breakfast was lovely. Lots of choice in the buffet and complimentary tea & coffee in reception.
The hotel is well situated and the twin room was old-fashioned but OK.
We were woken up after 1 am by drunken neighbours that kept us awake until past 3 am. The next day it was different neighbours who put their TV so loud we could hear every word. The walls are not isolated to block noise. It is very hard to have calm time in this hotel.
Staff, food, location, comfort, opulence
The free soap disappeared after the first night and never reappeared.
Location and WiFi
Noisy at Front. Allocated a disabled Room - felt like a hospital. Uncomfortable Bed Unable to change rooms!
Good location for university
Lack of car spaces, its on a first come first serve basis, not many spaces based on size of hotel. Had to park in a multi storey up the road which cost a lot of money overnight.
Nothing was toouch trouble. The staff were all quite young but very switched on, friendly and professional
On the booking deal I had brekkie was extra but we went out for brunch
The location was excellent for shopping and going out and about
A lack of atmosphere it would have been much nicer if there could have been a pianist /singer playing in the bar, both bar and restaurant empty for three nights
Lovely hotel in the heart of city directly opposite train station Great staff Really nice room Bar not expensive
Attic room was not as warm as rest of hotel though staff put additional heater in room when told Not many parking spaces but I'll use the train next time for ease.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
The creaky floor boards in our bedroom were very bad. Hotel Car park was full when we arrived so had to find a public car park - in the rain.
Location was very central to train station and shops. Very warm and comfortable, nice size family room, maid service every day. It felt safe too.
We had noisy road works outside our room from 7.30am each day... And the noise of some sort of extractor fan all night. Expensive to eat breakfast in the hotel.
Location and standard of room
Walls were far too thin, you could hear your neighbours cough sneeze and pee! We stayed up til 2am chatting/ whispering we were very quiet but our neighbour was still banging on the wall telling us to shut up !
As I was travelling with my 88 year old mother, we found the location of the hotel very convenient, as it is situated opposite Exeter Central Station and only a short walk from the city centre. The staff were very friendly at all times and nothing was too much trouble.
Location, breakfast and helpful staff
Decor is looking a bit tired compared to other hotels in Exeter.
Very good location friendly staff.
Car parking system, bed pushed up against wall., rather limited space.
The staff were outstanding. Excellent location
