The staff were very friendly and extemely helpful, going out of their way to find information for us. The room was really hot and the cooling system didn't work. The room service menu (after 11pm) didn't have the simplest of things on like a sandwich or cheese and biscuits for instance, but you could order a full cooked dinner which didn't really make sense if you just wanted a snack. |

The price was very reasonable for london, however the rooms were a little tired. It was an old fashioned hotel that didn't have mod cons - but comfortable nevertheless the price of food and drink was very high, and they automaticaaly charged 12.5% service charge on bar food and drink. We were not aware of this charge until paying the bill, however when challenged they removed the charge. |

The room (we were upgraded to a Junior Suite) was incredible - huge, ornately decorated with a large balcony and view of Hyde Park. Staff were very friendly and efficient too. |

Nice location, nice room with ots of space and very clean. No air conditioning, which during a heat wave made trying to sleep impossible. |

Location location location - incredibly convinient. Staff was excellent, very helpful with all our requests. Minibar worked perfectly as mini-fridge, especially helpful when travelling with young children. Room was a bit run down, felt it was a bit overpriced for what we actually received in terms of room size. |

The location (central) and the view at Hyde Park. The room was quite big. Very bad condition of the room-curtains torn, old smelly carpets, stains on the sofa, very old looking (not victorian looking) in general. The fact that there was an option while booking for a smoking room but the hotel is a non smoking hotel so the option does not apply. |

The room was well appointed and nicely decorated with a generous bathroom. The hotel was clean and nicely laid out in an old fashioned, club style. We requested a 5.15 wake up call because of an appointment at 6.40. The hotel forgot the call and we were not woken. If we had not woken shortly before 6 we would never have made our appointment. The room was supposed to have air conditioning, but did not. It was very hot and difficult to sleep, as we couldn't have the window open because of traffic noise. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. |

Efficient and friendly reception. Literally across Bayswater road from an entrance to Hyde Park - a huge advantage for fitness freaks or walkers. Medium-size room, well-decorated and clean, with double bed of the "normal" UK size, i.e. small. Pillows rubber/latex, not feather. Poorly lit bathroom, for making up, but bathing facilities in good repair. Part of lift wall had been damaged, repaired on a temp basis, and not urgently seen to. There may be a cost-control problem, which, if so, reflects badly on hotel management or owners (Guoman, part of the Hong Leong group) |

Close to get into central London The rooms were tiny! I mean seriously small but these were the ones that did not overlook the park. Thankfully I managed to negotiate 2 rooms for the price of 1 when i got there as the Twin room request was over-looked by the hotel, so sharing a small double bed with my mother would have been impossible. |

Very close to Hyde Park, easy access to South Kensington (science museum, nat. history museum), lovely walking area. Close to Paddington Station (maybe 10 minutes walk). It was a bit costly, but no more so than other Paddington hotels. |

Good location. Nice aspect, opposite Hyde Park, quiet area. Quiet hotel perhaps because it wasn't full. Staff were accommodating, no rudeness. First room I was offered was atrocious, it was damp and dirty. After complaining I was offered a better room but all the rooms were far too hot, they provided fans in each room so there must have been previous complaints about the temperature. |
