Convenient to where we needed to be. Restaurant on sight. Staff very helpful.
Bedroom a little tired, crack in washbasin etc. TV was not working but replaced straight away but lots of dust behind when removed. Staff were great but service extremely slow in restaurant so much so we were given free drinks and desert without even complaining.
Rooms were nice, breakfast was very good , plenty of parking space and the staff were very friendly
Beds were very hard , there were no local beers by bottles or draught in fact there was no dark beers available on lager also the price of spirits was very expensive
facilities, staff, food and location all brilliant. Really comfy and clean rooms would definitely recommend to anyone a fantastic environment to stay in
room could maybe have done with a little more storage space, although in fairness it was me and my wife for 2 weeks so maybe a longer stay than is usuall
I have been to the Thistle on several occasions. I have always found staff to be helpful and the food, rooms etc are fine. I would recommend this hotel.
Bathroom looked as if it could do with some tlc but otherwise the room was fine.
Gym facilities Comfortable/spacious rooms Free Fast WiFi Friendly reception staff.
Food Dreadful Roast Chicken worst ever. Way too dry, So dry impossible to swallow without the aid of water.
The staff were very pleasant and helpfull .in general my stay was what I had hoped.
Very disappointed with the state of my teapot at breakfast .it was covered in stains and hadn't been washed after use .
Very nice comfortable rooms, good breakfast and good value restaurant.
Service in the restaurant the first night was excellent second night not good at all .
Staff, room, bed was very comfortable
Wierd that tea and coffe only comes from the bar. Restraunt doesn't seem to have the facility. But service did not suffer
Good business hotel with good facilities.
a bit far from the city centre.
Heated towel rail (that's all)
Check in and check out was very poor. No tea and coffee in the room Basic television Uninspiring menu
Rooms were excellent and bed very comfortable. Staff were very helpful. Hotel is easy to find and signposted as you enter Inverness - the ease is partly because it is well out of the centre.
Exterior of hotel and location are not pretty and internally - outside the rooms themselves - the hotel looks a bit tired. It is not in the centre of town and I thought it was pricey - but it was a busy weekend in Inverness with not many rooms available in the town at all.
Good breakfast included in price.
Fire alarm went off twice in 24 hours.
Thought the room was fine and parking also.
Thought food was awful and overpriced. Staff looked sloppy and unwashed.
friendly and efficient staff. reasonable room sizes. reasonable value.
noisy from motorway traffic. bit far from Inverness centre.
Comfort and style
Too far to walk into town
Leisure complex although small was well managed and outsourced to another company. Easy access from main road.
Extremely hot rooms which could not be ventilated and had no air conditioning. Noisy road and railway on either side of hotel made sleeping with an open window almost impossible. Rooms that were difficult for two people to move around in they were so small. Staff who were unable to understand orders from the restaurant menu. Menus which were not available: fresh bread for breakfast, frozen slices od bread were put out for customers to toast. There was no fresh fruit or muesli for breakfast. Cooked food frequently ran out and staff always had to be asked for it to be refilled.
Small room, difficult to navigate with luggage, overlooking a busy motorway.
Bedroom a bit dated with big dark wood furniture. No tea/coffee facilities in room
The food was very good.
Rooms are very tired. Walls are made of paper and you could hear everything from rooms next door and above. Worst thing though was the constant banging of the doors all the time, even during the night. Why people don't hold heavy doors till they close I don't know.
Helpful staff, lovely breakfasts and (free) use of leisure facilities. Will certainly visit again.
Accommodation and pool are good.
Food is not great.
Relaxed. Staff friendly and helpful. Room clean and well organised with extra pillows
Breakfast was chaotic and food not very hot. Most of the staff were happy to help rectify but one or two were a but snappy!
Value for money Breakfast is plentiful and good quality Bed was very comfortable Leisure facilities are available and are very good
Room isn't huge, but is more than adequate for 2 adults and all their stuff
everything apart from each time i have stayed there, the fire alarm has gone off in the very early hours
each time i have stayed there, the fire alarm has gone off in the very early hours. the room was very hot and the window wouldn't open more than a couple of inches. when we asked for a fan, there weren't any and so it took ages to get to sleep. then we were rudely awakened by the fire alarm at 3.30am. when we went down to reception, we were told to go back to bed. it took forever to get back to sleep. my son didn't have time for breakfast before he went to work due to lack of sleep. i spoke to Ian the manager and he has offered me another night on the same tariff and he would email me confirmation of this. i am still waiting. this is the 3rd time in a row that the fire alarm has gone off when i have been staying there.
Helpful staff in the breakfast bar coupled with a good well cooked choice. Room service menu was good. Swimming pool area very clean and well maintained.
Room 102 which we stayed in was next to the stairwell. The morning of our stay from 06.30 onwards the door banged against the wall every time someone went through. Mentioned to receptionist that maybe a stronger door damper could be fitted.
