The hotel was everything we wanted. Good facilities with pool sauna and exercise area all in good order. Staff throughout the hotel very friendly and helpful. Very close to center of town. Great choice for breakfast and good dinner menu.
Good food, breakfast was very good
dinning tables and glasses were dirty .Room was airless and stuffy no ventilation couldn't open window because of traffic noise , not a good nights sleep.Furniture and paint work a bit tired, TV was bad only 5 channels available and no red button service
Excellent location. Room 2 was great and very large.
Wifi was very spotty unless near the office.
The facilities were great value for money, the staff went out of their way to help with any questions that were asked. All in all an excellent stay
Very friendly and helpful staff
Fire alarm went off at 4am
the staf were helpfull
had to wait for room
The hotel was well situated for our our purpose, handy to/from the airport. The city centre was also easy to get to. , We chose it because it was convenient for visiting a grandson who had just settled in Inverness in a new job. We were very pleased with all we found.
On a bus route as we were travelling by train and the bus stops are outside the hotel.
Friendly staff, lovely breakfast, although the other half would have liked more haggis as it had always ran out by the time we got here. Excellent room service and facilities Room itself very cosy and good sized tv. Only 3 pound in a taxi into town. Would definately stay again
Struggled to connect to wifi in room although leaflets state that it is very simple.
Staff very friendly & helpful Rooms clean as was the leisure club Food was good with a good selection WiFi was good & never lost connection
Convenient to where we needed to be. Restaurant on sight. Staff very helpful.
Bedroom a little tired, crack in washbasin etc. TV was not working but replaced straight away but lots of dust behind when removed. Staff were great but service extremely slow in restaurant so much so we were given free drinks and desert without even complaining.
Rooms were nice, breakfast was very good , plenty of parking space and the staff were very friendly
Beds were very hard , there were no local beers by bottles or draught in fact there was no dark beers available on lager also the price of spirits was very expensive
facilities, staff, food and location all brilliant. Really comfy and clean rooms would definitely recommend to anyone a fantastic environment to stay in
room could maybe have done with a little more storage space, although in fairness it was me and my wife for 2 weeks so maybe a longer stay than is usuall
All staff were excellent. Good breakfast. Hotel and rooms were clean. Comfortable bed and room was quiet, though small with a large wardrobe and large beds. Very busy on two nights with coach parties. I would stay here again.
Toilet cistern took about 20/25 minutes to fill up again. Managed to get another room on our third night. Slightly better but just as small.
I have been to the Thistle on several occasions. I have always found staff to be helpful and the food, rooms etc are fine. I would recommend this hotel.
Bathroom looked as if it could do with some tlc but otherwise the room was fine.
Gym facilities Comfortable/spacious rooms Free Fast WiFi Friendly reception staff.
Food Dreadful Roast Chicken worst ever. Way too dry, So dry impossible to swallow without the aid of water.
The staff were very pleasant and helpfull .in general my stay was what I had hoped.
Very disappointed with the state of my teapot at breakfast .it was covered in stains and hadn't been washed after use .
While it is a modern hotel with excellent facilities the level of service reminded me very much of the hotels of old where you were really taken care of and your comfort actually mattered. I often stay over in Inverness and in future will check out the Thistle as my first choice.
Nothing to not like
bed was comfortable
if you ordered breakfast night before it was £10 if in morning £15. room was extremely hot we could not get moved only given small fan. room was sorely in need of refurbishment. we left after 1 night
Very nice comfortable rooms, good breakfast and good value restaurant.
Service in the restaurant the first night was excellent second night not good at all .
Helpful staff, nice room, good facilities.
Fire alarm at 4.20am but staff coped well. False alarm probably some idiot smoking in bedroom. Pity not everyone bothered to evacuate their bedrooms at the time, fire alarms should always be taken seriously
Staff, room, bed was very comfortable
Wierd that tea and coffe only comes from the bar. Restraunt doesn't seem to have the facility. But service did not suffer
The location and the cleanliness along with the good value for money. The breakfast was very good.
The fire alarm went off at 04.15 and notice from other previous reviews it is not the first time it has occuried in the last few weeks.
Good business hotel with good facilities.
a bit far from the city centre.
