We book into the Thistle whenever we stay in Inverness due to the swimming pool and price as we would rather pay that price to have the swimming pool with our young kids over having breakfast. Just minor but the Reception staff don't greet you straight away as soon as your standing there at the desk (just being picky) but you seem to have to wait until they are finished doing a task on the computer. I have experienced this both times I have stayed there in the last month, so even a "hello" or "one moment" would be better than leaving you standing. Then I would be able to say our stay was absolutely perfect with no problems at all lol

Most staff (not all) were very friendly and helpful. Nice spa area. Good breakfast. Only 4 pounds in a taxi from the station. One receptionist was particularly unhelpful when we went to her with a couple of questions.

I stayed at the Thistle Inverness for 2 nights with my 13 year old daughter. The rooms are clean and quite spacious. I have stayed in many hotels that cost more and did not have as nice a room. Like other reviewers I was put off when i saw the outside of the hotel but once inside my opinion changed. The pool and spa facilities were good and the Staff were excellent. Very friendly The outside of the hotel is in need of fixing up and it would have been nice to have been offered a deal on evening meal.

The hotel is easily accessible with plenty parking. Guests could take advantage of the pool and leisure facilities at no extra cost. The staff were very friendly, helpful and prompt in dealing with any requests or queries. The room was very comfortable and clean. Although our window faced onto a main road, the double glazing was a vey effective soundproofer!

Good location, clean comfortable room. Very helpfull staff, and plenty of free parking spaces. We didn't have the breakfast as we thought it was expensive at £10.00 per person, we had a great full Scotish breakfast and a mug of tea for £12.00 for two about 3min car ride away. But other than that had a great three night stay.

it was ok but let down the room i asked for twin was not good bed touching so in my eye not a twin asked for bigger room was told none left so 2 Adults stuck in small room with touching beds not good will not book with this hotel again

Very friendly staff, room was large and comfortable. The hotel had a very nice leisure centre (pool, sauna etc) which was very relaxing. Overall 5* Would have appreciated if breakfast was included, but we had a very good rate, so no complaints.

Nice to have a small leisure club to take a dip otherwise Travel lodge just as good. More of a stopover on the way to the Highlands. Pricey even on a good deal. Paying more for breakfast would have not been worth it.
