Room was nice, clean and spacious. Staff were friendly, which you dont always get as a gay couple. The hotel wasn't as far from the city centre as it looked on the map, so a short walk to pubs/restaurants. Plenty of car parking. Surprised there was no hospitality tray in the room (tea/coffee). |

Friendly and welcoming staff.Hotel facilities such as pool and bar added to stay. Room was needing a revamp with frayed carpet and new wallpaper required.Breakfast should be included in price. |

All went well during my stay. In the Bistro the service was very slow and when the food came it was cold and in fact had to be sent back twice. |

Reception staff were excellent: friendly & helpful, for example with booking taxis and express checkout Bar prices seemed high and bar staff were stretch at times. I would have liked to see printed timetables for buses to town and, especially, the airport connection. |

The receptionist on duty, was, to say the least unprofessional. The hotel was further away from the town centre than said on info so a taxi was required there and back. Rooms were just ok, bed was hard and no air con in room |

I found the room to be comfortable, the staff friendly and the food tasty. It is also very close the A9 which I found most useful as the stay was breaking a car journey from the East Midlands to Orkney. On arrival the bathroom of the room I had been given had not been cleaned since the previous occupant. On notifying reception I was immediately given a new room. The second room had been cleaned and was comfortable enough but the carpets were frayed, some of the upholstery split, the wallpaper peeling, there was mould in the bathroom and stains on the bedcover. Also I did not take breakfast at the hotel as I considered it to be too expensive (at £12.99 when not pre-booked with the hotel or £10 when it is). |

The convenience. It's central location was very important. The bedroom was very 1980's and the furniture was a bit old fashioned. The bed itself was comfortable but the single very flat pillow was not. The bathroom was poor and mould had developed around the bath surround. Not very good. |

swimming pool unexpectedly out of town. also we were not told on checking in and paying that the hotel booking record did not indicate that we expected breakfast in with the agreed price. we booked through www.booking.com and had received paperwork (not with us). the staff became hostile/offensive - anti-english? This was just as we were about to leave to catch a train. we paid extra £5 for waiting taxi. no apology from staff when they phoned booking.com and discovered we were right in our expectations and after i phoned hotel back. |

The room was comfortable and quite spacious. The amenities were good. The breakfast was excellant. At the Thistle in Aberdeen, breakfast was included in the room rate. In Inverness it was not. This leads to some confusion with your guests. Either make it one or the other. I know it may depend on the room rate but it is still annoying for your guests. |
