The room was very comfortable and clean. Although the reservation says that you do not need to book in advance a space in the private car park, we were very concerned to arrive and overhear from a fellow quest that the hotel car park was full. We did not know the city and would not have known where else to park and at what cost. As it happens, when we drove around to the car park to check there was in fact, luckily, one space left so in the end everything was ok. Had we arrived five minutes later though and the car park had been full I would have been quite upset about it. I assume there must be a good reason why you don't allow pre-booking for this facility? But it would have helped as even if the hotel car park had been fully booked at least we would have known about it before we travelled and could have researched and made alternative arrangements.

I loved the location of this hotel, its within 5 mins of all shops and historical locations. Reception was welcoming and staff helpful. Beds are bouncy and comfortable. Breakfast was good and a varied choice of your basic brekki, but still sufficient and hearty. I would reccomend this hotel to a friend. On a negative note If your a coffee lover, take your own as this needs a taste improvement at breakfast.

The rooms are comfortable and a good size, with a comfortable armchair and desk space, plenty of electric sockets. There is an iron and ironing board. The rooms have good daylight from the large windows and some have fine views over the Mersey. The breakfast offers a reasonable choice. The design of the hotel with circular feature gives it some character for a relatively modern building. Nothing I didn't like but some suggestions: I would have appreciated a proper meal being available at 2-3pm. It was not clear whether this was the case or not from visiting the restaurant. I would like to have seen a staffed hot and cold buffet available all afternoon. The £5 "tray service" for room service seems excessive, bringing the price of a sandwich to £12 if delivered at night. I would like to see cask beers available at the bars. I would have appreciated newspapers being available to read in the public areas and also the offer of delivery of a paper to the room. I would be happy to pay a small delivery charge say around £1 or less for this. There is a variety of tv channels available but BBC4 should be included and, given the prices charged under the regular tariff, some premium channels should be available.

Pleasant staff, rooms etc - but when a fire alarm went off at 2.00 am there was no communication between staff and guests. When all was apparently safe, we were just waved back into the Hotel with no reason given or enquiry into well-being of guests

I booked the Atlantic Towers for a two night stay for location and price and then I made the mistake of reading reports some people had written about the hotel. Then I worried no need .The Atlantic towers is a lovely hotel our room was large and very comfortable also spotlessly clean The bathroom was spotless too. I think the person who said there were no coffee and tea making facilities didnt look in the cupboard. We had a safe which we used free of charge. The reception staff were very friendly and very very helpfull. Thank you The only thing I didnt like was the bar prices. More people might use the bar if the prices were reasonable

Good location. The room was awful. It was very small and the bedding had questionable stains. We ordered room service and the food was atrocious. The cost was very expensive for the size of the room.

The location is excellent & the pricing is very keen compared with the Mal Maison (which I usually use) opposite. For the price, it is the perfect choice for a business traveller on a budget, however anyone intending to spend time in the hotel may prefer not to stay in the lowest budget option. The room was rather small & dated (although this was reflected in the price), the bathroom was tiny & the bar wasn't open on a Monday evening.

Room was spacious and clean, room service was fast and tasted great, staff were friendly and helpful. Contacted the hotel shortly after booking to upgrade my room and they were very helpful in assisting me. Resulting in me staying in an executive double rather than a standard.

My husband and I loved the view of the river and canal from our room. The receptionist was very cheerful and helpful. The room was bright and modern with a very large king size bed and two comfortable chairs. The car parking was essential. We did not eat anything there as the prices we thought were too high. Which is unfortunate as if they were more reasonable we may have done.

The hotel is next to a cathedral with the bells of the cathedral is very noisy. Parking is far from hotel and have to pay for it!!!! Surely a hotel with this type of star rating must have good on site parking or porters.
