Best Western Menzies Strathmore

Pokoje jsou skvěle vybavené - potěšila nás varná konvice, pokoje mají dokonce žehličku:). Hotel je čistý a hlavně tichý, také přehledný - nehrozí hodinové hledání pokoje jako u jiných hotelů. A je na perfektním místě - náchází se asi dvacet metrů od vstupu do shopping centra, takže pokud letítě do Lutonu na nákupy, je ideální:).

The massage in the sports centre was excellent. The front desk was very helpful and polite.

The fourth floor bedroom was just below the conference/banqueting centre and it was a little difficult to sleep with the Christmas parties going on below. Perhaps it would be better to place guests not connected with any parties on a higher floor.. Your sky subscription is out so TV choice was a little limited - I hate soaps.

really friendly staff at breakfast. im sorry, but i couldnt understand the lady who greated me as she had a foreign accent

i opted for best western, not because it was cheapest because it wasnt but i thought id pay a little more as you "advertised" free wireless internet. when i tried to access the internet i seemed to be having problems so i contacted the reception. the lady informed me that there was no free internet and i would have to purchase a limited time prepay card either £6 90mins or £10 24 hrs which i thought was a ripp-off and a complete con. i was really upset as i had important information on in my emails which i needed for the wknd. after half hr i had calmed down a little so i decided i needed the internet so i would purchase the £10card but was informed you had run out the day before and was not getting anymore until the day i checked out.

Centrally located, recently refurbished. Not sure it is 4-star standard, but it is fresh and presentable. Meals and staff in lobby restaurant area is good.

Hard to find the entrances. Room cleaner didn't clean the bins or top up the coffee facilities.

We were unable to park a Renault Sprinter van anywhere close to the hotel, so 2 guests did not stay. The parking facilities at the hotel were very poor and also there were none in the immediate area that were suitable. I was still charged for their rooms, which was not our fault

I would like to have had a fridge in the room as I am a diabetic and carry insulin.

It was my second times. The facirities, breakfast, and dinner with beer were so good and enjoyable.

Central location. Walk out the hotel and into the Arndale centre. Great pool. Good breakfast.

Room a bit on the small side. It was warm in the room at night so we opened a window and then it was quite noisy.

All the members of staff, particularly the gentleman who checked me in, the manager, possibly, were very polite and helpful. I also loved the spa/pool facilties.

My room, although still value for money, could be better cared for - there wa peeling wallpaper and torn curtains. I did not mind this too much as was only staying one night, was on my own, and got a good rate. However, if I was staying longer/ on holiday I would have asked for my room to be changed. This poor standard was not reflected in the rest of the hotel, which was lovely.
