staff very good food loveley
Hotel is in centre of town so good for shopping or eating out in town. Breakfast was very nicely cooked. Excellent value for money.
Room was small and tired looking.
The hotel was closing down the next day - crazy!!,
Convenient to the train station, suited my needs
Difficult to find the actual hotel
Most things - it was grubby, dirty and very uncomfortable not a good place at all.
Reception staff were helpful and very polite. Evening Manager polite when we had a problem with the parking
Room not fully checked -Kettle not working in room. Toilet system was faulty and kept over flowing after flushing it. Car parking horrendous. Left my eye shadow on the bathroom shelf. Not handed into lost property!
This hotel is pre-modern. Must have been the highlight of the town when it was built, but all that's left to sell it is the excellent location and well-meaning staff. The facilities, the cleanliness, the rooms, beds, TVs, logistics of power supply in the rooms (i.e. sockets) - all time worn. Poor hotel appears more tired than some of the weary travellers passing through. Will not return until i hear news of a deep and thorough refurb. And after all this...it is comes at a princely sum. Being next to the Luton Arndale is surely not that great a privilege.
Room was fine
If you come back to have a night cap before retiring not good Wine £6.21 Beer London Pride only a Bottle Bill over £ 10 not very hospitable
Central location, helpful and friendly staff.
The mattress was very terrible: old, uneven, dirty. The bathroom was unacceptable cleaned.
Free wifi sauna jacuzzi swimming pool
wifi wasn't that stable. Kept disconnecting and reconnecting swimming pool being only 1.2 meters deep no sky sports on tv
It was very quiet, I had a very comfortable room and centrally located with adequate parking.
The lifts were either out of order or the doors opened very slowly. I gather this was a recurrent problem. Only one receptionist was on duty most of the time and I on one occasion I had to wait 20minutes to receive any attention. The bathroom too was tiny. I must say I did wonder whether 4 stars was a rather ambitious rating.
One of the very good hotels in the very central and vibrant area of the Luton town center exactly in the very centre of a big shopping center and a walking distance from everything that you may need to visit. Hotel is quite old fashioned but rooms are renovated and clean
Compared to the other hotels in the area rooms appear to be more expensive but you only got the advantage that everything is in walking distance and you do not have extra costs for transportation
Being close to my destination
Bed was hard, room had a smell that made me feel sick and woke me up, room heating was too high even with the window open. Would only recommend based that it was near my final destination.
It's near to Luton (max 10 mins by taxi), the staff were really helpful - my bag with my money was stolen in London City that's why I had to stay one night at Menzies, they even helped me to print out my new boarding passes free, and I could also get an adapter at the reception (normally they ask for a 10 pound deposit), room facilities: room safe, iron with an ironing board, kettle, hair dryer
Nothing in particular
Bathroom was very dirty Breakfast was poor quality and bad value Run down
