Old hotel, hard to find 1st floor entrance/ reception if on foot. Lumpy mattress, single room tiny, poor choice in restaurant (room service menu better) |

The massage in the sports centre was excellent. The front desk was very helpful and polite. The fourth floor bedroom was just below the conference/banqueting centre and it was a little difficult to sleep with the Christmas parties going on below. Perhaps it would be better to place guests not connected with any parties on a higher floor.. Your sky subscription is out so TV choice was a little limited - I hate soaps. |

really friendly staff at breakfast. im sorry, but i couldnt understand the lady who greated me as she had a foreign accent i opted for best western, not because it was cheapest because it wasnt but i thought id pay a little more as you "advertised" free wireless internet. when i tried to access the internet i seemed to be having problems so i contacted the reception. the lady informed me that there was no free internet and i would have to purchase a limited time prepay card either £6 90mins or £10 24 hrs which i thought was a ripp-off and a complete con. i was really upset as i had important information on in my emails which i needed for the wknd. after half hr i had calmed down a little so i decided i needed the internet so i would purchase the £10card but was informed you had run out the day before and was not getting anymore until the day i checked out. |

Centrally located, recently refurbished. Not sure it is 4-star standard, but it is fresh and presentable. Meals and staff in lobby restaurant area is good. Hard to find the entrances. Room cleaner didn't clean the bins or top up the coffee facilities. |

Was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed our stay. However location is quite difficult to find.. particularly at night. Otherwise staff was very helpful and excellent hotel facilities. Signage to the hotel.. since it is situated inside the car park we could not trace the entrance (this was at 1 am). |

I will be writing a letter to Menzies Hotels regarding my party's disappointment We were unable to park a Renault Sprinter van anywhere close to the hotel, so 2 guests did not stay. The parking facilities at the hotel were very poor and also there were none in the immediate area that were suitable. I was still charged for their rooms, which was not our fault |

Very good attentive staff. Fast checkout. Reasonable meal in the Brasserie. Handy for the town centre and airport. Reception failed to set my very early alarm call but luckily I had a back up (my watch). The bath plug was full of hair, so much so that the bath/shower wouldn't drain properly. This would have been plainly obvious to anyone doing a proper cleaning job. |

The room was nice and compact with no unnecessary space provided I would like to have had a fridge in the room as I am a diabetic and carry insulin. |

It was ideal for the travelling to the airport but still being accessible by car or rail for easy access to other areas. Overall the hotel was of a good standard The noisy air conditioning units outside the room window. |

easy for town centre and airport the hotel was hard to find, i booked it as a best western and the taxi cab driver or his control had not heard of it and asking me if it was menzies or strathmore i could not tell them |

Central location. Walk out the hotel and into the Arndale centre. Great pool. Good breakfast. Room a bit on the small side. It was warm in the room at night so we opened a window and then it was quite noisy. |

All the members of staff, particularly the gentleman who checked me in, the manager, possibly, were very polite and helpful. I also loved the spa/pool facilties. My room, although still value for money, could be better cared for - there wa peeling wallpaper and torn curtains. I did not mind this too much as was only staying one night, was on my own, and got a good rate. However, if I was staying longer/ on holiday I would have asked for my room to be changed. This poor standard was not reflected in the rest of the hotel, which was lovely. |
