Yes. I did not like the reception service, one employee i speaked with was not polite in his answers. My room was facing oxford street, i could not sleep at night from the noise and lightings coming through the windows. The management should really think about the reception staff and isolating this side of the hotel (oxford st. side) from the noise and lightings coming into the rooms. I booked two nights but i checked out after one night only, although i paid more than £ 200 for each night, i moved to another accommodation. |

On arrival the reception denied any knowledge of the reservation. After a serious delay I was offerred alternative accomodation at a nearby hotel which proved to be very inferior,Only after my protest and a 2 hour delay was I finally offered suitable rooms. The following day I spoke to booking .com and the hotel then admitted they had the reservation but were overbooked which was the true reason why we were tuned away |

The hotel room was I booked was huge in comparison to others I've paid the same price for. Room was very clean and well maintained. Felt slightly soulless and staff were efficient rather than friendly. I'd booked a twin room but got a double instead. Always think when you are paying over £100 for a room breakfast should be free. |

Conveniently located for my purpose of visit The rooms are too noisy. Sound isolation is necessary. |

Great position close to Oxford Street and Hyde Park with excellent choice of eating places close by, very busy vibrant hotel, spacious room and very comfortable bed - internet access if you don't have your own laptop is overpriced ----------- - mixture of helpful and unhelpful staff members |

Shopping on Oxford Street. The way in which the money was taken off my account twice. The day we arrived an extra £100 was taken off as well as the money for the hotel and then again on the day we left.It took two phone calls to get the money credited back to my account. |

The convenient location... nothing else comes to mind. An accumulation of small irritations and discomforts, such as....the smell of cigarettes which permeates the much of the hotel. The extremely uncomfortable pillows. The lack of dressing gowns - even when requested from housekeeping, as instructed in the literature. The feeling that it seems to be assumed that guests will steal anything that isn't screwed down. The fact that the hotel concierge clearly knew nothing about London. In general, the soulless character of the hotel. |

The rooms and service areas where in very good clean condition and the location in London is perfect for shopping. The check in process is a little long winded, and personnel seemed a bit confused. |

The most fascinating thing that the hotel has to offer is its location since it's on Oxford Street and very close to all the big department stores (Selfridges..). The facilities were poor and the fact that it's a very old hotel does not leave any space for improvement. It is a pity because the location is perfect especially for shopping and discovering the heart of London. |

The hotel room was clean and pleasant and very convenient for park and shopping. Staff friendly and helpful. The quiet room however was slightly marred by the noise from the generators outside so we had to use earplugs at night, but this did not detract from the good service we received. |

Hotel concierge service & cleanliness of the room ***About customer service: Customer service was poor, the customer service manager couldn't find my booking and took him 20 minutes to find it in the system. While checking in, the staff was unexperienced - first he said no room available come back later!? ***About the room: The room they gave me was very close to the lift and most of the night I was hearing people coming and going, room smell bad.The windows are not double glazed and loud noise was coming from the road works through the window. The room service menu said I can have early breakfast in room but when I requested one they said that they can't serve early in the morning and I've to collect a box of breakfast (no cereial or milk just few breads) from the reception! |
