Large, spacious comfortable room which was very clean with a bath which is always nice as opposed to just having a shower. Tea and coffee making facilities and flat screen tv. The hotel is very handy for the nearby Riverside Stadium that we were visiting for a football match. We didn't book the breakfast which seemed quite expensive at more than £14 each. Wifi was also chargeable at £10 although a lot of hotels offer this free.

The room was very clean and the bed was huge and comfortable. The staff in every area were all very friendly - a credit to you! All areas within the hotel were very smart and spotless. I enjoyed my stay with you. The location of the hotel wasn't great but once inside it didn't matter.

Location is good as it is central and near the train station. The layout was quite sterile, with the bar hidden from the groundfloor. My bed was not as comfortable as I would have expected from the Thistle. Spa and gym closed too early for me.

The hotel is very central which was great as I wanted to do some shopping. The room was a good size with comfy beds, nice fat pillows, a modern bathroom with fluffy towels, good size flatscreen tv, and the usual tea making facilities. The staff were very friendly and helpful plus I enjoyed using the gym. All in all very much to be recommended! I liked everything - we had a special weekend rate but it would be much more expensive during the week (so less attractive for a budget stay).

Evening food is nice. No free wi-fi. Big issue for business trips. Breakfast options aren't great, granola and yoghurt would be a big help.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable and duvets warm and cosy. Good gym facilities, didn't use pool looked quite small but clean and modern. Didn't have breakfast but were advised when we checked in that we could buy a voucher for £10 from Reception for breakfast rather than paying £14.95 on the door. Good parking facilities outside the door. Told it would be £4 per day but we weren't charged for this. Handy for access to A19, A66. Couple of niggles - newspaper wasn't delivered but reception said they would go out and get one for us. Not enough towels in room (1 bath, 1 hand) but these were provided when requested. This would not put us off staying here again.
