So close to Rail Station makes life easy especially if you have luggage. Hotel nice ambience and fine rooms with excellent breakfast opportunity!
Opted for bargain small room - thankfully partner didnt make it so it was a comfortable single!
Bar staff Location
Creaky corridor outside my room One of the check-in staff spoke so fast and in such a formulaic manner, it was hard to grasp what she meant.
Location was great and hotel clean and comfortable.
General decor and style is lovely throughout the hotel but unfortunately this didn't extend into the rooms. They were basic and needed updating. Was a bit pricey for a pretty basic room.
The hotel building has the potential to be attractive and stylish, and is in a great location
The hotel has a tired, commercial traveller air and needs upgrading. The staff are functional.
Location Comfortable Room
The staff were brilliant. Breakfast very good.
The location of the hotel made it very very noisy. Earplugs supplied in the bathroom were an indication of the din that went on for most of the night . The noise was not from roadworks just revellers in the street, very boring!
very friendly staff.food excellent
all of it
I drank to much lol ;)
Staff were so helpful and as I was there on my own it really made it a great stay. Everyone was very accommodating. Highly recommended.
Staff attitude is excellent. Room is comfy, nice and clean. I stayed in King Room for 2 days and generally is good.
My phone cannot connect to Wifi while my laptop can. No one knows why. A little bit dust on top of window curtain. Very obvious. A stair on 4th floor is very sounding when in used. But these are minor prob
Location, Price, Staff, Dinner.
Breakfast, Cleanliness in the bathroom
Great location - right opposite the train station and a few minutes walk to shops Price - quite low in comparison to nearby hotels Staff - very friendly and helpful Comfortable beds
Poor wifi connection Rooms very dated - definitely needs a revamp No air con unit in room Can hear a lot of noise from outside
Location. Price of room.
Paying a lot extra for parking
The food in the restraunt was excellent but a bit pricey.
Our checkout was at 12pm but the maid walked into our room at 11.20am just as we were getting ready. I didn't like this as we could have been in our underwear etc.
The whole stay was just first class!
The hotel is situated directly across the road from Central Station and the Metro to the Airport which was ideal for us. We had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay and would definitely stay again when visiting Newcastle.

Wifi was very slow, but phone and gsm was good so used that instead.
location was perfect, had fresh bedding every day
wasn't aloud to bring family guests back to hotel for a drink.
Staff that are alive to their responsibility
Location room size room quality value for money historic facade
breakfast room cold with high ac service was slow and not up to standard because there were groups having breakfast at same time so staff overwhelmed Receptionist could have been more friendly
Location was very good. Close to the bars.
Poor car parking was limited (19 spaces) and very tight. Also charges £10 per night despite you staying at the hotel
The hotel was a couple of minutes walk from the station. The staff on reception were polite, helpful and gave us good advice where to go to shop and eat. Bedroom was very good and the breakfast was superb with very helpful staff. We shall definitely stay here again.
It was only a couple minutes walk away from everything we possibly needed Overnight receptionist was very helpful.
There were road works outside the front of the hotel that woke us really early. It was so noisy. There was a set of ear plugs in the room but only one pair so not much help and they didnt even work. Also one of the housekeeping staff came into our room 3 times while we were sleeping. She knocked once. The other two times she came into the room without warning. This was hours before check out so dont understand the urgency to clean our room and constantly.
Price, breakfast, attitude of staff.
The room was an inside room with no view and was very dark. Bar had no atmosphere.
I liked how central the location was
Te fact there was constant building work outside the hotel..we should have been warned about this and been discounted as it was constant morning day and night actually gave me a headache.. The wifi is rubbish.
