Wifi proximity to the train station
The price considering there are next to no facilities in the hotel and breakfast isn't included.
Great location and not too much street noise considering very central. Facilities and room good for a couple of nights.
The room was uncomfortably warm, despite the radiator being off, and it was a struggle to open the windows!
Location in city is very good
Too hot and couldn't open the window because of outside noise (understandable being in a city centre) however there should be air conditioning put in if thats the case.
Excellent value - the cheeseboard was an exceptional bargain. Comfortable room. Prompt room service. good, well-priced menu. Location right opposite station and aonly a short walk from hub of the city.
Using your wifi I acquired bugs in my laptop that had not been there before and which kept returning despite Norton blocking them. Poor selection of drinks in bar - no single malt whiskies at all.
the room was comfortable & clean. the breakfast was good
got a room at the front, student freshers week - very loud every night.
The reception staff
The fact that every time I stay I am required to prove, multiple times, that my booking includes a spending allowance despite this being on every confirmation. This should be more clear on your in house systems. It is very frustrating and has this time prevented me from re-booking for my next trip
The location is great
The room was for a disabled person and the shower seat was minging the mould was furry and black. Watch out for the roadworks at 6am in the morning
best price for city centre hotel, great location next to central station, very clean, spacious bathroom, comfy bed and good lighting. helpful and informative reception staff :)
tv remote didn't work, no information how to work tv, woken up early hours in the morn to noisy people unable to open their door, asked for identification from bar staff :o
Staff were nice hotel was clean security was good room very small
Room very small
We travel by coach to spain every year, the coach picks us up right accross from hotel. Staff were very attentive, excellent hotel.
A young woman, she made my day. She was so friendly and took time to a Chat while I was checking in and out...
Convenient location: right across the train station. Easy access to city centre: in 10 mins walking distance. My single room was a bit small but acceptable. Staffs are friendly. I was given a room by the construction site hence noisy. I asked for a replacement and they happily help me with the exchange. Wifi is free and fast.
It took the receptionist a long time to finish check-in...and also it is an old building probably Victorian Style hence lots of heavy doors in the corridor and stairs. If you are single-handedly carrying lots of bags and luggages it might took u a while before you can reach your room
Comfortable room, fairly newly renovated, great location, comfortable bed, lovely building
Staff were very pleasant and helpful Room was very comfortable Big Bed nice and comfortable Good Bathroom
Being opposite the train station makes it a great location. Check in and check out was professionally handled. Breakfast options were great. We had to pay fie breakfast but by payiing at reception before hand the cost was £10. The hotel is in walking distance to the Millennium Bridge, Bolt Art Mesuem and the entertainment hub. There is currently roadworks outside the hotel to create a pedestrian mall. Don't expect great things from Chinatown. However we did have a nice banquet meal at a very reasonable price at a restaurant.
We had a stardard room. The double bed is small and the room just adequate although the bathroom was good. We found it overheated and one window could be opened just. The night time noise from revelers was loud and continuous till the wee hours permutating the room.
Location was fantastic, efficient friendly staff. Comfortable bed
Room was very hot
The experience of taking the elevator was what I was most thrilled about during my Newcastle Thistle stay.
Staff told me that they would register my vehicle to be recognised on exit but it wasnt. I had to exit my vehicle and speak to the monitor in order for the exit gate to raised. The facilities were poor. I expected to have a relaxing shower but when I tried to the wayer was either scalding hot or freezing cold; no middle ground.
locatation excellent as are staff. Very close to clubs pubs etc
hotel in need of some paint and modernised?
location right across from train station, nice front desk workers, cheap cost
Insects in my room, dead bugs on duvet upon arrival, moths flying around. No natural light, tiny room, dingy and dirty. Thin walls, loud at night due to party/bar goers getting home at 3am. My scheduled wake up call did not come, I would have missed my flight if I hadn't set a double alarm.
Breakfast Beds were comfortable Clean
Could hear noise from those loving the nightlife and music. Asked for an early morning call for 7am which we didn't receive!
Very well positioned for seeing the city
Being woken in the night by very noisy guests!
the shower was just a trickle! got woke up at 3am by a drunk, called reception and they ended up dealing with it. had to take key back to reception twice as it wouldnt work. staff not very appologetic or friendly, except for the lady on the sunday morning
paying for car parking without being informed prier.
Staff and location were great
I mistakenly thought Monday night in Newcastle would be quiet but noise from bars kept me awake til 4am. Better double glazing needed and a refurb would be nice.
My television didn't work
