I faced overbooking problems, had to stay in another hotel at first night what was very bodersome and expensive because they sent to a much expensive hotel. I did not get any appology for that any sort of compensation. The hotel is old and not accessible friendly no luggage carring servise had to go down and up stairs to get into my room (same floor).

I really had an excellent accomodation there. The room was very luxury, comfortable and clean. The staff was very willing to help us in any way. One of the most important advantages of the hotel is its lacation. Litterally in the heart of Newcastle!

The supper brought to my room was excellent and so was the breakfast. I did not like two beds shoved together masquerading as a double bed. I kept banging my knees on the ridge all night. The chap upstairs may as well have been in my room, I could hear him so clearly. Creaky floors, and early morning hacking sounds are not conducive to good sleep. I will try another hotel for my next meeting up there.

Central location. My request for twin beds was not taken into account and my elderly cousin and I had to share a double bed.

Great location, it was right across the road from the metro, rail station and a sainsburys. I found the room too warm at times. Breakfast was a little expensive, it was a put off.

Vast improvement with recent renovation. Staff very helpful and friendly. Ex location, and we were very pleased with the ambeince. We regularly go to Newcastle for hospital app, and we found the staff to be very receptive to our needs eg request for extra pillows and a well lighted room. Staff to be recommended. my husband commends the lighting in the bedrooms. Extractor fan did not work

Location was excellent for our needs. Bar was very relaxing. Rooms were nice. Although happy with most aspects, it was overpriced. Have paid less for better facilities. The most disappointing was paying £10 for parking overnight then being unable to get out of the car park the next morning as we were blocked in. We were told that a member of staff had use of the car park and blocked usin. Waited ages in the pouring rain and it turned out to be someone who worked in the pub next door who was allowed to use the car park. So when did next doors bar staff have priority over customers paying over the odds!!??11

Just a good "old style" hotel where the staff were brilliant, the rooms great, and it was very convenient for both the rail station and the conference i was attending. I will certainly use it again.

Pleasantly surprised at the quality of the County Hotel considering the bargain price. I had a standard double room which, whilst not opulent still had all you need for a short stay. Ideally positioned opposite the station, and an easy stroll to the town centre, shops, pubs, clubs, restaurants, etc that Newcastle has to offer. Staff were efficient, polite and friendly. Would definitely stay again.

Massive bed and great customer service and interaction also a great location Room very small and very warm even though heating was not on. I would presonaly not pay fall rate to stay at this hotel. We paid £63 to stay and that was enough for the room we got any more money would expect a higher standard room.

room was ready early and staff very helpful to directions and locations. Stayed to attend concert at Mtro arena, only 5 minute walk away. Bed really comfy and heard no noise from local pubs. Will definately stay again and recommend to friends. rooms are hot, find the radiator when you get in the room and turn it down.
