Thee location is excllent and the room comfortable. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. It is ridiculous to charge so much for wi-fi when McDonalds over the road has it free and you can pick up their signal in the lobby. The charge for a late check-out is exorbitant.

The location was good The rroms we were given were dates and old, the bathrooms very old and poor condition. One on the mugs was cracked and chipped so when water was [poured in it all leaked out. Also the lighting was awful. If anyone asked me about the hotel I would certainly suggest they looked elsewhere

The only thing that was good was the location and the reception area. I had a concern when I got to the Hotel, which I must say is not easy to find...and I spoke to a member of staff who became very rude at the offset, and had quite a bad attitude and I felt that she was not very approachable after that. I didnt get her name as I was trying to enjoy my weekend straight away. I felt the rooms were clean but are in dire need of some decorating, there is wallpaper coming off of the walls and the tiles in the bathroom were dirty in between. There was not enough places to hang towels. I go to alot of Hotels and this includes London and I would not recemmend this hotel to anyone the way it is at the moment apart from the location which is fantastic. We asked the staff if they had an idea where a restrurant was located that we had previously booked and they did not know and did nothing to find out for us. The price of £108 was ok for two sharing, a few people in my party had to cancel at the last minute and I am now stuck with the bill for rooms that had only one occupier, and because I got a cheaper deal apparantly there is no way I can get my money back. See above. I had booked seven rooms over the two nights for my friends and did not read in the booking at the time that I would be unable to cancel the rooms after these had been booked.

The reception! The bed was a good size large double/queen size and comfortable but the room and bathrom were small. I would not recommend this hotel to those booking a special rate room because of the standard of room on offer at that rate.

Hotel was in a great location, easy access from the airport (standsted) and very central for sightseeing. The concierge was excellent. Hotel reception was not friendly and advised us on arrival that per the computer we had booked a double room when in fact we had a twin booked. OK I had the booking form and we got the twin room but I didn't like that it wasn't correct in the first place. This is not a complaint and did not impact on our trip, its just an observation!

Location was perfect for the Queens Theatre - i chose the location as my mother is slightly disabled and needed to be in close proximity to avoid too much walking. The room was very tired. Neither my mother or i wanted to use the bathroom facilities. There was a notice confirming that the room would be refurbished soon but i feel if the hotel is aware of this then they should have provided an alternative room.

The location of the hotel wad spot on , smack bang in the heart of west end Although going through renovation , out room was shabby and dirty , mould around the bath and wallpaper coming off the walls , there was no lights and the rooms were very dim , there was no way of opening the window to get in any air to the room , so the old air can was on which was dry and noisy .... The location was brilliant but I see why they need to renovate ..... Not to my expectations

Staff extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Excellent, convenient location and not too noisy taking into account it was very central. Only two things, both fairly minor: 1. The layout of the furniture was quite cramped, although the room itself was a reasonable size. The TV and cupboard where the tea/coffee making was located was very near the bottom corner of the bed - not ideal and a bit of a squeeze. 2. A pink, dated colour scheme in the bathroom, though perfectly functional.

The Staff, were nice ,the location and room was excellent -but !!- we were not told prior or when checking in that refurb work was going on in the floor above us . We were not told prior -or even when checking in that major building work was going on in the floor above . The noise was unbelievable and we had to leave the room until it finished at 6pm . At 7.30 am we were woken by the builders passing the door and the hammering started at 7.45 am and the loud drilling at 8am --you had to shout to make yourself heard . We could have paid less and gone on a lower quiet floor if we had known ! After complaining we were offered just 20% discount . David and Alison -Sheffield

Staff were helpful at all times. The room was good and noise free but not luxurious but that was what we were expecting. Clearly the refurbishment will make a big difference to the rooms. Not ideal to be told there is no hot water on arrival but I had read some very poor reviews on the internet so was not a big surprise The really good thing was that the staff told us that they hoped it would be fixed and it was.

The location for the price is excellent did not have any problem with noise issues as other guests have reported even though was at front of hotel. The hotel reception ect was very well kept but our room was very shabby black tape holding bathroom tap together and the bathroom was definitley not decorated since the 80s it was clean but generally grubby looking. The only two sockets in the room were hanging off the wall the radiator in room wasnt working and room was very cold (it was 1-3 degrees outside all weekend) we were left a plug in heater but with the state of the sockets I was afraid to use it. Our quilt was a sleeping bag wit a cover on as you could feel the zip through the cover not very comfortable at all.
