Facilities were excellent. Every member of staff was courteous and professional.Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel most welcome during our stay - sadly this is not always the case in a lot of hotels.I would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel
The overall stay went very well however my partner had been asked if he would like to put down £50 which could be used for services etc- food if we like. We decided to do so, after deciding we'd like to order in hotel food ,countless times of calling hotel services/ staff, noone answered! So giving the reception staff his bank details in order to be able to use that £50 put aside seemed a bit pointless!
Wedding guests very noisy in joining rooms & corridors , banging doors ,until 4.30am .
Location for Harry Potter Tour and visit family in St Albans easy access to Motorways
Our room a little to close to main room, but for the price OK
The breakfast was superb - well worth £10
The coffee was diabolical!! I'm sorry but we couldn't drink it. It was like bitter syrup. Surely a few coffee machines ( with proper coffee) at the breakfast area where people could help themselves, would be better than the current set-up.
Was a quick and easy book in
The room smelt damp. The room we were in also had another key activated so half way through the evening a couple and their kid opened the door and walked in to l our room. The morning check out staff were rude. Also a wedding party was there and rather than having them all together we ended up at 2am being woken by drunk people banging on doors and being disruptive in the hall.
The staff were great!! The breakfast was faultless and there is something for everyone, loved that about it.all fresh and looked lovely.......I would 100% stay again
The price of the drinks were to high! and the carpet along our corridor had obviously been cleaned but smelt like wet dog it wasn't pleasant
Location is good and general area is pleasant
Just could not sleep continuously for more than 2 hours...too many loud neighbours and staff could not control to quieten down. Walls were practically hollow and can hear ever little convo through the walls. Would have expected better customer service from thistle esp being a international 4star chain. However we were not felt like valued customers or guests. It would have been nice to get some sort of compensation, part refund/voucher/free drink/free beaks fast something to show their value in us customers.
The very convenient location for access from M25 and to the centre of St Albans; the large, comfortable and quiet room overlooking woodland at the back of the hotel(we saw a Muntjak deer on the lawn; the excellent Leisure Centre.
Rather a long walk to reach many of the rooms.
Staff were welcoming and attentive.
Evening meal was unacceptably uninspiring and poor, and hotel needs updating both in terms of facilities and approach.
The Noke is a lovely hotel with lovely surroundings. Staff very professional and helpful even though under pressure with 4 different events taking place. Food very good although would have preferred more choice. We would definitely recommend The Noke and would be happy to stay again.
The only thing not to our liking was having a room with an adjoining door. We could hear everything in the adjoining room which unfortunately kept us awake most of the night.
Managed to get a discount due to the mishap on Booking.com so the room was £60 instead of £80. Hotel had a gym/pool and room was comfy.
Booking.com didn't actually inform the hotel that myself and 3 other guests had booked rooms. Only one room available when I arrived which had no air con. Bit stressful...
Everything about the hotel near pub near takeaways leisure facilities didn't have any food there as we was visiting friends but will definately cone again
Nothing it was good
room was great, enjoyed the leisure club
lots of winding corridors although we found our way in the end!
Flowers superb! Outdoor drinks terrace lovely. Staff attentive and welcoming.
Very expensive the night we stayed. Rates seemed to fluctuate a lot. Would happily stay again if less expensive.
Very friendly staff. Room very nice and spacious.
Some areas were very cold eg Oak and Avocado Bar.
Value for money and good location
Not being able to get hot food after 11am and having to wait 40 minutes for a sandwich while they cleaned the kitchen.
Facilities clean and comfortable, staff friendly, liked not having to leave early.
Would prefer lighter colours in the room, it was quite dark even when the sun was out, but that's just a personal preference.
Nice food, nice location, staff who did all they could to help.
Total lack of sleep through moronic behaviour of guests next door, plus very thin walls on ground floor.
The pool area was nice and the tea making facilities and free wifi was good.
Being threatened by a manager named George for the police to physically remove us on the first and only time he knocked on our door to keep the noise down. There were 2 of us. It was 8.30pm.
The highlight for me was full access to the swimming pool, sauna, steam room and jaquzzi
I was suprised that the breakfast was not included in the price. The bath/shower room needed a bit of TLC. There was a weird stale smell. So I have been in loads of hotels at that standard and breakfast has always been included.
We found our visit very comfortable and convenient as we needed to find accommodation for one night after visiting friends in St Albans. It was easy to get back on the motorway to head back to Weston-super-mare, the location was perfect.
Our checking out was easy, but my mother was surprised at not getting an account when we left, she felt we needed some sort of paperwork? We only thought about it ourselves after we left!! Apart from that no real complaints!
All the staff were very helpful and polite. The spa facilities were excellent and the rooms were well equipped and comfortable
The decor was a little dated with the hotel needing a refurb, particularly corridors and stair wells
Great amenities, excellant location, staff freindly, very clean and comfortable, very well kept gardens.
Evening menu very basic, felt like we was sitting in village hall, Good selection for breakfast but served up warm.
