The Royal Trafalgar - A Thistle Hotel  

The location of the hotel was perfect - right in the centre of the West End, and within easy walking distance of everything I wanted to do! The reception staff were very friendly and helpful.

There was nothing I didn't like!

It was everything than we needed for our stay, location ideal because we were so near the theatre. The service was excellent and staff very friendly.

Excellent location being 4 stops from KingsCross station on the London underground to the nearest station Piccadilly. Theatres and cinemas are on the door step are eateries and bars. The prices for food and drink although not to excessive are slightly more expensive than outside for instance a pint of beer and a gin and tonic is about ten pounds at hotel but outside its between 7-8 pounds. The hotel is extremely clean and well maintained. The bedroom/living area is average in size but plenty hanging space, hangers and even an iron board and iron included! The staff are excellent, very friendly and approachable! We got a free upgrade when the receptionist discovered it was my wife's birthday! Great time had by all!

Only draw back is small bathroom. It is a bit of a squeeze between the toilet and the shower. Other than this the hotel is excellent

this was a fantastic hotel , in a prime location in the centre of london.The room was huge, spotless and had the comfiest bed ever.The staff were the friendliest i have ever met in a London hotel. would certainly stay here again Location, Location, Location.

Do not use Hotels own taxis service, as we found out to our cost that they are considerably more expensive than flagging one down , which is so easy to do

Differs from the majority of central London Hotels: Royal trafalgar is clean, newly renovated incl smart well functioning bathrooms, perfectly located. My best recommandation.

Very friendly staff. Newly refurbished and decor and room clean, bright and first class. Breakfast can be expensive as restaurant appears to be franchised but ask at reception for voucher. Breakfast okay but not fantastic but adequate. Ideal location for shopping, theatres, National Gallery & Trafalgar Square.
