Thistle Westminster  

It was near the station

Double beds were just to small, I have never stayed in a hotel with beds that small. The wardrobes opened onto the bed, so you could not open the wardrobe fully very awkward.

Location was good. Room was quiet despite the location and proximity to station. Generally clean premises.

The concierge I would not employ. He does nothing to assist your business. I asked about shopping centres and he pointed outside and said "out there". I asked about a taxi and he said go into the street, they come past regularly. I saw a male staff member tell a woman with four children and associated baggage when she asked for assistance, "I would help but it will cost you seventeen quid, you are better doing it yourself". The room had no fridge??? I think the staff need a reminder that we are the clients and without us, they dont have jobs. I would sack the concierge today. Over priced restaurant.

They changed a standard twin for a single at the same price. Cramped quarters, no air conditioning, bugs in room, everything was and is cheap about the place

The Staff were fantastic, The Food was excellent, The hotel Price was good value for money. My free up grade made the visit toii London very worth while.

There was nothing I didn't like.Everything was excellent.

The Thistle Westminster was clean, centrally located and reasonably priced. We felt safe and the staff was friendly.

The room was small. We had to lift the suitcases over the beds to get them into the room, but once we got everything placed it was fine. The bathtub had very high sides which made it difficult to get into even to take a shower.

Pleasant and helpful staff, good location, quiet despite location. Good lunch in rest on arrival

Automatic service charge when you go to the bar for a drink. Breakfast was poor and not worth £10.00 Congealed eggs, mushrooms and bits of bacon were in the baked beans, bacon dry and hard and hash browns very dry and hard. Only item that let the visit down really and not expected from a Thistle Hotel. I would recommend the hotel but suggest go out for breakfast

Some of the tv channels did not work My room was opposite a service room and there was noice from constant talking

The location was excellent, for sight seeing. Buckingham Palace / The mall 2 minutes away. Sloan Square / Tube stations very close by. Harrods 20minute walk.

Very close to Victoria station, Buckingham Palace and the 2 theatres in Victoria , the theatre being the purpose of this trip. The hotel has a good modern feel and although the rooms are not huge the design gives space and comfort.

The hotel exceeded expectations.I Had read some previous reviews and was a little nervous.The reception staff were excellent .welcoming and very obliging.We booked for family and friend,six in total and three rooms .for teenagers,mum and two grannies .our pre- check in requests were met fully. We felt very comfortable,and it is nice to find a hotel where the customer still comes first.The hotel is very convenient for all the London attractions ,with good transport links.The rooms we had ,had recently been upgraded ,and there looked like new carpeting and fresh decor on the floors we were allocated.For a city hotel ,we would certainly stay again.

The hotel has large rooms, and is very centrally located near Victoria Station. Front desk staff are friendly and helpful.

The central heating had been turned on, and the room was extremely warm and dry, to the point of needing to sleep with the windows open in November. The price of the room increased significantly over the week, for seemingly random reasons. The hotel charged my credit card for the entire amount (several thousand dollars) when I made the booking, even though I thought it was just being used to make the reservation. They were unable to reverse the charges later, or enable us to pay with a different credit card. They were nice and professional and tried to answer our questions, but I would have made different arrangements had I known that was going to be the case.
