Beautiful views of the river and weir pool
Drink prices in the bar
Excellent meals, river ferry to Bath, friendly helpful stsff
Extremely poky room in the "lodge", wifi was not free and often didn't work.
Everything if had to chose would be very good staff will use this hotel again and again
Location, breakfast, staff.
Accomodation reminded me of Butlins. Meal and room were expensive particularly for off season!!
The hotel is in a lovely position, close to the river in a really quiet area of Bath's countryside . The breakfast is amazing with a good selection of cereals and dry fruits, juices and full english breakfast . No problem at all for the parking . The receptionist is a really nice person, he gave us some information about the thermes and he was available to answer all our questions . The hotel is more and less 3 miles from the city centre so you need a car if you want reach easily Bath's centre, of course this is the price to pay if you want enjoy a peaceful area in the countryside with a beautiful view, I checked on internet there should be 5 buses from the hotel to the Bath's city centre .
Breakfast was very good
Mattress harder than concrete General room cleanliness
Wifi too expensive
Paying for Internet that keep dropping out. Poor morning shower presumably due to everyone making demand an the water the same time. Bed average.
Very nice views at breakfast
The pictures didn't correspond with reality. The pics was maybe from the hotel but we where placed in the annex/lodge.
Staff and service were excellent. It was really convenient having such flexible check-in times. Booking was simple and dealt with quickly and efficiently at the hotel.
The shower temperature was a little eratic, but nothing a little patience couldn't resolve.
Friendly and polite staff, excellent food, room small but made good use of space, nice peaceful atmosphere.
As hotel is next to a toll bridge, there is quite a lot of traffic movement, and it can be slow to get into or out of the hotel at busy times.
Location great with a lovely walk into Bath along a canal and situated on the river itself.
Bit of a nightmare getting to it as literally on a toll bridge and we were put outside the hotel in a prefabricated building that in the winter would be freezing. To be honest when I book an hotel I expect to stay in the hotel. I would not recommend this Hotel.
Early breakfast wasn't a problem with staff.
Top step of stairs was a bit of a trip hazzard and the the stairs are very steap.
Not far from the city centre of Bath (10 minute taxi journey at around £8-12 depending on traffic) or a 30 minute boat ride from the Bathampton Mill pub across the bridge. Please note, depending on which route you take to the hotel, there is a toll just before the bridge which charges 70p per car going through. The boat costs £5 one way, £8 return and these run every 30-60 minutes, 7 days a week but ask at hotel reception for times for that day. I would recommend you get the breakfast included with the room as it has everything and is self-serve with complimentary tea and coffee, not to mention a nice view overlooking the river. The hotel has an on-site restaurant, which serves high quality food at a fairly reasonable price considering a lot of the names are in French! The Bathampton Mill pub over the bridge is also a nice place to eat, but will get very busy of a weekend so I would recommend booking a table beforehand and not be surprised if you are onto your second drink by the time the food is served. Can find no faults with the hotel and would definitely recommend it if you are looking for something with a bit more character than your everyday chain hotels.
The shower takes 5-10 minutes to heat up. This shouldn't be a problem but just a heads up in case you are wondering why the water is still cold (definitely the best hotel shower I've had despite this).
The view was outstanding, food was amazing and good value, people friendly and helpful, clean and tidy just a perfect stay and good value for money.
Only two things, Didn't understand people on reception. And I couldn't stay longer
The Italian restaurant, the staff, swans on the River Avon and the atmosphere a very big thank you to the staff and the management
I can't think of anything sorry
All the staff albeit recruited from outside the UK, were exceptionally helpful, and the view from our bedroom window was fabulous!
Single beds too narrow for comfort. Difficult to park & exit. Transit bridge noisy from 7am.
Nothing loved it all
A very nice setting
Love the grounds, the bridge, restaurant for dinner was exceptional, as was breakfast.
the PARKING, very frustrating. Room was almost sterile it so lacked character - white everything, no color, no pictures.
Staff food location
location was good, breakfast good, breakfast manager good,
we had a lodge room, pokey, not good value, had a damp smell to it , shower just about up to standard, no chair to sit in because room to small to fit any into.
The location and the resturant, food was really good.
Room had a bit of a stale damp smell about it. Though it wasn't a problem, it kind of hit you as you entered the room.
Staff attitude was OK (just) Food quality was OK Generally clean
Description of room facilities (some facilities NOT in room), and not cool to list carpet/flooring as a facility?! Far too many, VERY steep steps and stairs. Should be warning people. Food in restaurant was OK but only serve a limited Italian menu. WIFI being charged for...!!!??
