Room lovely. Bulb out but replaced quickly.
Steep stairs to top room- not for the faint hearted !!
the room was lovley and clean we were changed from a twin to a double room with a four poster bed, which was really nice with high ceiling and lovely beems, the location is great for all the shops and restaurants etc, the tea and coffee facilities were good with good quality products.
there was a nice area in the room with a dressing table, which wasn't useable as the lighting was not sufficiant, but this could easily be put right, and the shower base could do with replacing.
The location close to the train station was what I wanted for this overnight stop. Excellent wifi and great water-pressure in the shower.
The room needs some tlc, there's a large piece of wallpaper ripped off the wall, the room needs re-painting and the bathroom floor could do with tiling.
Closeness to station
Broken shower door, torn curtain, uneven and unsafe bathroom floor, only one hand and one bath towel in twin room for 2, reception poor and closed in morning when we wanted to speak to the manager, only a barman available to speak to about our complaints and great difficulty in getting to speak to the absent manager
Not worth the money for the size of the room
Struggled to find reception until I realised I needed to go to the bar
Bed was comfy and linen was clean. Bar was cheap but that's about as far as it went.
Carpets and chairs in room were a bit grubby. Bottom of shower base had fallen off and the shower door came off when I closed it!
The staff are lovely & incredibly patient & helpful & the room was spacious & modern. The bed was clean & very comfortable.
The room hadn't been adequately prepared. There wasn't an information folder, the hairdryer was missing, there were no working lights in the bathroom, the wifi didn't work & both the bathroom floor & the shower tray were broken. While wearing high heels I carried my own suitcase, unescorted to my room, up five flights of stairs.
Cheap hotel Ok, if you don't mind the noise from the pub downstairs...
Location was great, good value for money, just what i wanted
If people are offended by a bit of pub noise it might out them off
Comfortable clean room. Comfortable temperature, not hot like so many hotels in towns and cities.
Reception closed on arrival, bar area a bit grubby and went out for breakfast.
Everything about the hotel. And the price
Room was poor, peeling wallpaper. Very dated and tired. Very noisy until 2am Expensive
Where do we start. This hotel (more hostel) is above a bar that plays live music until 3am at weekends (2am the rest of the week) and there is no sound proofing even on the top floor. When we arrived there was no one there and we had to wait 30 mins for any one to check us in, as we walked up the stairs with the dirty carpet and mouldy walls we started to wonder what we had done. We booked the room with the 4 poster bed which looked lovely from the picture, but was cheep rubish with the curtains safety pinned on. There was no way to turn off the lights from the bed and no phone sockets, but finally (after 3am when the music stopped) we got some sleep, but the worst was still to come. In the morning we went to shower and realised there was a hole in the bathroom floor, we realised there was no extractor fan and the shower tray was broken. As I pulled the shower door across it fell on me and I realised it was not attached, we got out of there as fast as possible. The fact they call it a hotel at all is a joke, the fact they charge £70 is robbery. Take this hotel off your site booking.com !
The central location close to the railway station.
Double room booked but cramped. Room just above the bar/grill of the hotel. First night karaoke till 2am and second night disco till 2am. I asked for the sound to be turned down but only lip-service paid by staff to it. Put a massive damper on my trip which was with the purpose of going for walks around Leamington. As could not sleep till 2 am and therefore was up late I did not do as much as wanted. A somewhat spoiled weekend!
The double bed was up against the window with no room to get out on one side, would better be described as a single room with a double bed squeezed in. We were in room 1.
Handy location Although the fittings weren't great the bathroom was clean Tea and coffee were fine
Shabby appearance, bedside light didn't work. No remote control. The shower door fell off when closed. Very noisy
shower and loo require repair
Friendly staff - doing their best Clean sheets/towels etc Location and nearby cheap car park Could have been value for money if problems had been managed
Noisy room at hotel front, inadequate glazing, train noise at 2am and 3am. Broken bathroom extractor fan, 3 lightbulbs broken, TV remote missing, Bathroom door shutter-rail noise.Grubby walls and radiator. No maintenance and no management, therefore helpful bar staff were left to try to sort out chaotic situation which could have been prevented. Absentee "Manager" couldn't even sort out a room move by phone. Left early cancelling 2nd night.
Tea and coffee in the bedroom
Too much noise friday and saturday night: bar & music downstairs.....
They had rented my room to sombody else - and did not help me find another hotel in any way!
BeD linen and towels clean. Really good shower head but holder broken.
Everything else. Room 9 at front of hotel right above the "lively" bar. Banging music till 1am. Floor and water in bottle vibrating in time to the bass. NEVER AGAIN.
Great welcome, staff top notch. Location superb.
Breakfast not included.
Booked this hotel at very short notice wasn't sure what to expect but was please with the location of the hotel .close to all the bars and restaurants aswell as the shopping centre. The staff were friendly and warm and the room modern and clean the bar was lively and drinks were well priced. All in all it was a very enjoyable stay and would consider staying again .
These are only very small gripes because we booked last minute we go the last room which turn out be the one most furthest away up 3 flight of stairs not good if you have dodgy knee's or small children the windows would not stay open when opened and the shower had a piece missing but nothing that we couldn't overlooks
20m from railway bridge above busy road karaoke bar downstairs dirty room bathroom falling apart can hear people breathing in next room
