Close to the town centre
its attached to a loud bar, the bathroom we had was tiny, the shower was useless and the toilet button was broken. No staff on duty in the evening.
Good location, good staff
Noisy , dance music played untill after 2 pm , ok if you're out partying but not so good if competing in a competition where sleep is key
Clean room Food fantastic
V V nosy, trains running past wifi doesn't work
Had a brilliant night, staff amazing, pub downstairs out of this world. Different world, people lovely and a karaoke night. Will definetly stay again.
Very basic stuff but to put your head down its fit for purpose.
Too much noise coming up from the bar until 1.30am
Location was good for us. Beds were clean and comfortable. Shower had good pressure and hot water.
Basic staff level. Room was located on the 4th floor. Room was small and lacked any charm. Rock band played until 11.30pm. Hotel was basic in all aspects, would look to go elsewhere next time.
Location is quite central, check in/check out was easy, room was well sound-proofed despite proximity to rail line
Charmless staff (except barmaid in bar below), hard mattress and harder pillows, sock covering smoke alarm, wonky bathroom floor, broken toilet seat, broken shower doors
Broken window pane. Broken plug sockets, dog eared furniture, broken shower head which made an alarming noise when on, shower surround and base broken, light fitting hanging from the ceiling in the bathroom.
Disco downstairs until early morning hours. Wet carpets. Dirty bathroom.
The staff were very nice
Too noisy from the street
It was ok but really not great. Because the décor etc. dated, it must be hard to keep the play feeling clean.
It is near a noisy railway bridge and the bar below was noisy.
The location was ideal for what we needed.
The mattress was terrible springs poking through the toilet flush button was broken I had to stick my finger in the top of the cistern to flush it and the shower door did not close .
Hotel not clean and not cheap
We were on the top floor and we found the stairs extremely narrow and steep. The room was very small and the hotel is in need of a complete makeover and maintenance plan.
The receptionist tried her best despite the hotel being over booked. The location was central.
The receptionist was friendly, did her best, she was leaving in 2 days’. The hotel was overbooked and the receptionist was trying to book people into alternative hotels. She showed me to room 17, top floor, but the shower lights did not work or the extractor fan. The 2 single beds were metal framed, small room, ugly. She moved me to room 10 which I discovered at 10PM was directly over the live band!!! Having walked 30 +miles from Birmingham I wanted a bath and bed for a good sleep. No bath, despite requesting this when I booked and NO chance of any sleep until the music stopped. The shower was broken and the cubicle was full of black mould, generally the whole hotel needs a total refurbish, sadly I will not be staying again. Sorry
cooked breakfast not available! Dirty
Location was very good. Plenty of parking spaces close by.
Poor breakfast service. Cured Ham appeared at 7.30am one day. Another day it did' nt appear. Fruit missing. Staff service poor. Bedroom not made up for two days. Reception laughed the matter off.
excellent value for money staff couldn't have been any more helpful
the steep stairs to the top floor room
Location less pleasant are of town Lots of people hanging around entrance to hotel Directly adjacent to railway bridge. Music in bar went on til about 2 in the morning then loads of noise from people leaving Floor of our room (room 9) vibrated from noise Bags of dirty laundry left in corridors
Toilet did not flush broken smells very musty like damp smell. Waiting for a call from manager still after 5 days I rang him and he said he has not checked the room because someone is staying in it. I feel sorry for them it obviously has not been fixed.
Great Location Great Value Quiet Large TV Pub at bottom floor so easy for drinks
Bathroom light was very dull
Shower and bed.
Bathroom floor was in need of a bit of love.
Location No Parking Facility Built over shops Difficult to find Entrance
Room was clean good shower
climbing 4 flights of stairs would warn anyone about this if they intended to book
