Room furniture. Times of breakfast. Poor quality of towels and bed linen. Never yet met the host. No room service on Sunday. |

Convenient location in the centre of Stornaway. Pleasant, sunny spacious, room with excellent view . Shower worked . Situated on street corner with surprisingly heavy traffic noise all night. Short on staff. There seemed to be a tenuous relationship with the adjoining cafe/bakery/breakfast room where the exhausted, overworked waitress did her best but had to issue keys and take money etc from behind the bread counter. Window in bedroom fell out, as did the door handle |

Centrally placed in Stornoway with ample free parking in nearby car park. Good substantial Scottish breakfast. I asked for a double on booking (allegedly the only room aavailable) but was offered a twin. They did move me. Remember the Isle of Lewis is basically closed on Sundays so do not expect towels to be changed, the bed to be made or tea, coffee, milk in the room to be replenished. |

Brand new bathroom but the shower temperature did not regulate as intended. However, an entirely new shower assembly was installed by afternoon. Just excellent responsiveness. |

The welcome from the ajecent cafe staff was lovely and they went out of there way to make us feel that nothing was to much trouble for them on Saturday. The rooms were clean with roomy ensuite shower rooms and nice fixtures. On Saturday we returned to our rooms having been out all day to find that carpet in our 86yr old fathers bedroom had been removed and not replace as promised. |

The welcome, the standard of cleanliness and comfort of the room, the view from my window, the location (right in town centre but quiet) No lift and a steep stair (but I did get assistance when I asked) |

decore very good I had booked a double room, arrived to find I had been given a twin room. No reception in the B&B, all contact with owner was via telephone, not helpfull when I foned re having being given twin rather than double. I asked for a reduction in my fee re the above. The owner, over the fone, asked me wat I thawt was an appropriate discount! |

Bright, comfortable, well appointed room. Centrally situated with adequate parking close by. Breakfast was slow and the member of staff on duty was not particulalry welcoming or friendly. Unfortunately the owner was not on duty on that day. |

Good facilities, central location. I took a first floor twin room to myself with ensuite, perfectly adequate for my needs. Good choice of breakfast in the morning. |

The manageress was very helpful in accommodating my travelling companion (Rita Kearney - who was only eight weeks over a quadruple cardiac bypass), by moving her to a room more fitting to her physical capabilities. Indeed, overall, the manageress and her staff are the best advertisement for this Guest House |

We reserved two rooms at the guest house, which is conveniently located near the ferry port at Stornoway. The rooms were large and spacious and well equipped. The guest house is obviously being redecorated, which will add to the value of the rooms. The breakfasts were excellent! Cooked to order and taken in a cafeteria adjoining the hotel. And the staff and locals were very friendly! No. It comes highly recommended. |

Set within in its own attractive gardens, this modern 3-star hotel is ideally located on the outskirts of Stornoway, just across the road from the golf course leading onto historic Lews Castle... |
Stornoway's largest hotel is closest to both the ferry and the airport, providing an ideal base for a trip to the islands and priding itself on a warm welcome. |
