The rooms were clean and comfortable. The owner was attentive and the breakfast was good.

Good standard of room and good facilities , nice breakfast although a little cold (plates needed heated)

Didn't see the need for small bottles of wine in the room , particularly as it wasn't chilled.

Good location and very friendly staff. Nice rooms. A great weekend. Would stay there again.

The breakfast was quite poor.

Our room was fine and the complimentary wine was appreciated. The location almost opposite the Calmac terminal is convenient.

The diy reception facilities and the peremptory service in the very basic cafe next door where breakfast was served made the place seem inhospitable and over-priced.

Welcoming, kind and friendly manner provided by all staff. Lovely people. I felt valued and, being on my own, totally safe. Room spotlessly clean and dressed to a high standard. Generous welcome tray (small bottles of wine/water provided in addition to a varied supply of warm drink sachets.) Equally generous (lovely breakfast) breakfast. Great location. Excellent all round value.

It was well situated for access to the town. Our bedroom had a good view of the bay. Room service every day with fresh towels and room tidy was good.

Breakfasts were poorly cooked , poor ingredients and instructions for ordering weren't clear. Tables weren't set, cutlery and serviettes were damp / and or retaining food from dishwasher.

Good location, great value, good standard of room and facilities. Comp wine, water and chocolates and a great breakfast. Would certainly stay there again.

I could not fault it in any way, excellent locatiion, very helpfully staff, the room was beautiful . The facilities in the room were great and the tea and coffee were endless. A very pleasant stay .

Lack of receptionist (had to go to tearoom next door to gain any attention when booking in - one person was serving in the tearoom and also supposedly looking after the guest house reception). Complementary wine (as advertised on website) was not present on arrival in room - the person who eventually came from the tearoom said "There is supposed to be wine for you here, but you have coffee and tea making facilities anyway". He never made any effort to provide the "complementary wine" - simply shrugged off the fact that it was missing - a possible mis-advert or intentional means of attracting customers? Light in bathroom did not work. Extractor fan in toilet area was isolated on ceiling switch. Heating did not come on until late in the evening and the room was cold upon arrival at 1pm.

Extremely friendly staff made me feel very welcome, room was warm and spacious, location was excellent and very good value for money. Would recommend to friends, family and colleagues.
