Although we only spent one night at Thorne Cottage, we very impressed with everything. It was delightful, from the welcoming owner and the lovely setting, to the comfy beds, delicious breakfast, and the absolute peace and quiet. We will definitely be going back.

The location was interesting, and it was close to NT properties.

Double, high-tog duvets on single beds. Access to shared bathroom very awkward, though well lit.

Very friendly, very nice location. lovely garden. Quiet.

On booking, my single room was described as having a wash basin. it didn't. I knew I would be sharing a bathroom, but assumed my friends were in an en suite. They weren't. I think the price was a little high because of this.

Lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings, very friendly owners who made you feel most welcome. Very good value for money. Good selection for breakfast.

Would have liked a chair by the window to sit whilst putting on my make up and also possibly a towel rail as nowhere to hang it. Also no fault of the owners, but the 2nd night could not sleep as the man of the couple next door roared like a lion with his snoring all night.
