In general the hostel did not leave us with the best impression. As the hostel is located in a very hard place to find, there were completely no signs for directions (a lot of hotels/hostels did have, but not this one). So to find this hostel at night is nearly impossible. We booked "Family Room with Bathroom" and in the description towels were said to be included, but on a arrival we discovered that we need to pay extra money to get one. Breakfast. As advertised, breakfast is included in the room price, but it is as basic as it can be - the cheapest cornflakes and a piece of toasted bread. If you want something more, again you have to pay. The car park. One evening we got a space, the following evening when we tried to park the car the owner of the hostel asked us to park outside. When we pointed to an available space, he said it was reserved for a "big BMW". When we pointed to other space that was available, he said it was also reserved. So I guess the parking space is somehow "reserved" by the car brand or friendship status. Not nice. The rooms are as basic as they can be (as expected with a hostel), but there were small basic things that were not there- like having a toilet without a lid, and no curtain on the door so it was possible for people to see you from outside while you are in the bathroom! The worst part was they turned off the heating in the 'drying room' where you put your hiking stuff, so when we returned in the morning all our things were still wet, and we had to hike in wet boots and clothing!! All in all, it felt like a hostel charging hotel prices, and giving only the bare minimum to its guests. Would not recommend- the YHA hostels are far better.
Lovely cats in the hostel :)
