At Thornleigh they take everything seriously, from the rooms to the omelets, and they do it with a nice smile. As a result, you feel perfectly at home staying there.

Everything was fantastic. The food, the room and the location. The thing that stood out most of all was the service. Clare and David were amazing. They made us feel so welcome and relaxed.

Jill and Graham were superb hosts (Jill must drink copious amounts of coffee and/or Red Bull to be that effervescent all the time!)

    Nothing.

The location was very central. Jill was an excellent host who was very friendly, jovial and helpful

The bathroom was a bit small but that is a reality in a lot of B&B's in England.

Very comfortable, kept very clean and excellent breakfast. Ideally located for the town and lake.

With the weather being so hot, the room window needed to be open, a lot of road noise could be heard.

Superb service and food. Nothing too much trouble. Very good breakfasts including gluten free options for me with gluten free bread and cereal. Right next to the town centre but walking distance to the hills!

Excellent host and hostess. Clean and comfortable accommodation. Lovely varied breakfast menu. Quality of food and presentation could not have been better. Advice given respecting local amenities was excellent. A lovely holiday. I recommend this accommodation

Sixteen steps to get to front door. Cramped size of the shower.

We loved everything! Jill is Devine! From the exquisite locally made shampoo to the personal breakfast feast, Thornleigh has been the highlight of our two months of travel. We adored the Lakes which was made even more special with the advice from Jill. Wonderful.

    We didn't stay long enough!

Very hospitable and personable proprietors. Excellent breakfasts [better in fact than at the Turnberry resort later in the week!] and well deserving of the breakfast award.

Easy walk to town centre on the flat. Good size room. Very helpful hostess. Lovely food. Laundromat very close by too.

Parking out front very tight - the other option was around the corner in a public car park but a parking voucher was provided.

A superbly located B&B run by a wonderfully welcoming hostess that offers delicious breakfasts and car parking inffront of the property which can otherwise be quite hard to come by in Keswick.

Very friendly; nothing was too much trouble for Jill.

there were between 8 & 10 steps upto the front door, and then more stairs to your room - not very easy for people with walking difficulties
