Relax, work or socialize close to the Humber River at Village Hull, complete with health club, spa facilities, a fantastic restaurant and pub and The Hub meeting and conference center.
Score from 294 reviews Very good
Very comfortable two night stay. We were able to book in with ease and enjoyed our time here.
This is a restaurant within a pub rather than a village 'local'. That having been said, the restaurant was very good and it is purely down to the fact that we are avid pub-goers that led to a slight feeling of disappointment. This did not distract in any measurable sense from us having a most enjoyable break.
room clean and specious
food average chips reheated greasy
Location fine. Room spacious comfortable and clean
Not a friendly welcome, arrived with a colleague at 5.15pm, looking forward to a beer whilst working on lap tops. Was told pub was closed until 6.30 asked if we could sit in bar to work was told no (re-iterateing that the pub was shut, despite the fact that we were stood in the bar checking in), asked if there was anywhere else we could work, but told no except your room. When pub did open was pleased to see Timothy Taylors bitter on draft, but they ran out after I had 1 pint and didn't have another barrel. Menu was varied but we both went for Fillet Steak which was £18.00, mine at best was ok, colleague had to send it back as plate was covered in blood despite asking for medium to well done. Booked this place on the strength of the reviews, but fell well short of expectations for our visit.
Beautiful little place great for the kids will be booking again for sure x
The rooms were perfect, nice and clean. The breakfast tasty, with lots of choice, and plenty of it, you go away full. It was nice to relax in the bar before retiring. Liked everything about the place. Will be staying there again. : ))
The room was comfortable and well appointed. The evening meal was very good and the ambience and company very friendly.
Very clean, quiet location and friendly staff
This is a real jewel in the crown a rural pub restaurant with 4* accommodation and great service Breakfast is extra but very generous and presentation is brilliant - all food was very tasty and ample in its servings
Friendly staff, good choice of great food reasonably priced.
Very pleasant staff. Excellent bed. Iron and ironing board available.
Almost non-existent wifi. Food not excellent.
Excellent evening meal, very helpful staff, very comfortable bed.
Sliding door in bathroom which didn't quite close! Would have preferred breakfast to be available later during week.
I was travelling from northern Scotland that day and knew because of late transfers from the airport I would not be arriving till late. Check in was till 2100 hrs and I was worried about not being able to get there in time. I called the hotel and explained my problem and Peter was happy to stay up until I got there. I didn't arrive until 2330 but he was waiting at the door for me. Thank you Peter, it was really appreciated.
Only 3 little pots of milk for a cup if tea. It might be an idea to have more out as I had a cup of tea when I arrived and was up early for my connecting flight and had to make do with black tea in the morning. However it was no real hardship.
Fantastic staff and ales also the bed was really comfortable and the chef made me bacon butties to go. This was all a fantastic pub b&b place to go and I will definitely be returning with others.
Friendly, helpful people. Welcoming peaceful atmosphere. Very comfortable rooms where everything worked. Didn't have dinner but the breakfast was excellent. Would most definitely recommend to friends.
The only slight thing was that the accommodation was only accessible from the outside, so to get to the dining room/restaurant/bar meant a dash through the rain! Also, unfortunately the internet didn't work.
The warm and friendly reception and attitude from the time we arrived until we left next morning.
There was nothing to dislike.
was made to feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble, food was great, we did not have breakfast as me and hubby do not eat breakfast. but the whole stay, was great. would go back again.
