Thornton Hall Hotel & Spa  

My friend got married there and I must say the staff were amazing and the whole day was really good I was very impressed. Would deffo stay again

Staff, food, countryside

food was excellent staff freindly but efficient

The leisure facilities are good, the hotel is quiet

The hotel is a bit over-priced

Excellent pool, plus other fitness facilities. However, these were quite busy. Also, a nice country setting, and good location near Birkenhead.

Wi-Fi didn't work well in our room. But it worked excellent in the hallway, and in the coffee shop.

Staff were all very welcoming, Gym, Pool and Spa Facilities really good. Breakfast (vegetarian) was excellent.

My room was as far from the reception, gym, restaurant etc as you could possibly get. Not a huge problem, but would have been nice to have a room a little closer when carrying coats and bags etc.

Nice room, loved the spa which was complimentary for guests.

Had evening meal there which was OK but not great.

stayed twice on two different occassions, first was for 3 nights and was very happy. the second was for a bed and breakfast and evening meal, this was excellent, the food quality was superb.

cant think of anything, maybe walk from hotel to spa, not covered .small thing.

No sky sports on TV very unusual for a 4 star hotel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My cousin had his wedding breakfast and evening celebration x staff were helpful x drinks pricey though

Everything was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay and are considering another short break there.

Location, staff were very helpful anf friendly, rooms very clean.

If I had to be picky I would say the rooms were too dark and no plug socket by the mirror.

Couldn't book a restaurant table on arrival because they were already full.

Apart from initially being kept waiting at reception without being acknowledged, the service I received from the staff was extremely good. I stay in a lot of hotels for business and I thought this sort of service was not found in the UK. Well done.

The hot tub outside was lovely. My husband and I felt extremely relaxed.

When we arrived we were given a unserviced room the booking reference said we would have fluffy bathrobes, slippers and mineral water and a complementary newspaper the next day we did not get any of these things

I had my stay in september my room was ok but up for two night I was right next two the party room you wood think that there wood be a cut of time? The fist night up till 3.30 and the next night it was very late ?
