It was close to Gatwick Airport, clean & reasonably comfortable. The airport transfers worked well. Although the price included breakfast, if departure was before 6 a.m., there was no breakfast provided. Other similar hotels leave a continental breakfast in the room, but not Acorn Lodge. Secondly, parking is described as being 'on site', but on which site? We expected our car to remain at the hotel, but were asked for the keys & told it would be parked elsewhere. When we returned, we found our sat-nav was programmed to an address in London we did not know & had never visited. Checking another review site, several people who left cars at Acorn Lodge had issues with the management about the state of the cars when they returned, none of which were addressed. Our e-mail complaint to the hotel received no response. |

car parking. bus to airport & return. breakfast was very good. clean beds & towels. Outward stay. Unpleasent smell from shower drain. Return stay. Room in need of decorating, no headboard on bed, hot tap on wash basin loose, rubber bath mat dirty. |

Prompt pick up from Gatwick in their own shuttle (included in price), comfortable clean room. Excellent meat in sister hotel, transport provided (no cost). Hotel well positioned for Gatwick Airport and offers excellent value for money. Have used the hotel before and will do so again |

Best thing for us was the 24 hour shuttle service. Room was clean, beds comfy. Handy for us to fly off on holiday and stay when w arrived back in early hours of the morning. The only concern I had was where the tea/coffee supplies were. They were on a very low table, with little space around it. It would have been more practicsl on the dressing table. Not a complaint just an observation |

Convenience for airport for drop off On the return we had a 30 minute wait at Gatwick to be collected, because even though we called as soon as we were ready, we then didn't fit on the bus because other people filled it and as there's only 1 bus we had to wait for his return. Also, my car looked like it had sat next to a bonfire - covered with ash or similar - very dirty |

Location, location, location. The close location to Gatwick Airport, Brit Rail and the Gatwick coach station were all reasons for our selection of the Acorn. So was their willingness to store baggage for us between our trips. Last, the very efficient shuttle service was a plus. What you would guess: small rooms, tiny bathrooms and a very tight stairway and halls that make moving luggage difficult. |

Room was very comfortable. Despite requiring an early transfer to Gatwick Airport, we were provided the night before with cereal breakfast, etc. and transfers included in the hotel price. Especially delighted with quick access to airport and good return transfer pickup. |
