Comfortable room and wonderful breakfast
Convenient for visiting relative in Hereford Hospital. Bedroom as nice and warm and facilities were good.
Evening meal was very large for two medium eaters. The presentation left much to be desired.
The lady on the reception was extremely friendly and efficient.
The toilet seats outside the function room were unattached!
Friendly helpful staff. Convenient for city centre. Lovely breakfast.
Just about on the edge of the countryside.(It used to be!) Very good steak in restaurant. Breakfast very good, though a bit expensive.
Trying to turn right out of the entrance.. Giving way doesn't seem to be a Herefordian driver's strong point.
The room was clean and comfortable.
Not the welcome I expected, hotel did not know we had booked an early check in. I felt they didn't believe me as they had nothing written down. I did show them my copy of the booking. We were given a room but felt we shouldn't have been there. Reserved table for dinner at 7.00pm, no one there to greet us on arrival, receptionist had to go and ask for assistance, twice. When someone evenutally arrived we were seated and she asked us if we wanted a roll, then proceeded to talk to someone else whilst holding out the basket in front of us, not professional. The lady was foreign so very difficult to understand her talking (not her fault). There was a big event on at the hotel that night and we felt we were treated as second class, we decided not to eat at the restaurant and went to town instead. What drew me to this hotel was the fact it was 'a family run hotel', didn't see any evidence of that to be honest, won't be staying there again.
Warm bedroom. For me a very comfortable bed Quiet room
Friendly staff, good food, pitch black room :-)
Room smells a bit 'drainy'
The garden rooms are now beginning to look tired.
Good hotel at a fair price. Very good full English breakfast, and plenty of alternatives if you wanted something else. Friendly staff, good location.
Decor is a bit dated. Traffic outside the hotel (main road into town) at 08:30 was a nightmare
nice hotel, a brisk stroll into hereford
could do with mordenising
The staff were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. Particularly Anthony who was outstanding .His customer service is second to none.We had dinner at the hotel and the food was delicious and plentiful. Will be visiting this hotel again soon.
Liked it all !
The food for both breakfast and evening meal was excellent with very good portions. Very attentive waitress. The bar area was very comfortable and welcoming. The receptionist was very helpful and apologetic when we sadly found it necessary to complain about the noisy dog and disco, giving us a reduction on the final account. We were also offered a change of room which we chose not to accept.
A dog from a local house barked continuously on Friday night for 2 hours from 10pm until midnight, and again on Sunday night from 11pm until 1am, keeping us awake. Sat. night a disco in one of the hotel rooms kept us awake again until 1.30am. Our final account was adjusted accordingly.
The receptionist was friendly and exceptionally helpful and the waiting staff at breakfast were also very friendly and helpful. The hotel is just on the outskirts of Hereford, making it very easy to get into the city.
Friendly staff ,ideal location and good food
Poorly insulated rooms, decor a little "tired" . Examples - cobwebs, black mould behind bath taps dirty marks on wall.
location friendly people deffently stay here agina
could done with king size bed and quilt instead of blankets
Cleanliness and comfort
parking close to garden room motel style
Sheets on one bed grubby and had to be changed. Rather stale smell in the room.
The room was clean warm and comfy, free WIFI, staff very good.
The food was poor.
Staff were friendly and the Asian waitress' customer service was excellent. We like our room and where it was, the size, and it was too close to car park. The reception was very helpful and accommodating.
I was disappointed that there was no wifi in restaurant. your advert says wifi in public places but when I ask I was told by the other waitress that I have to plug my computer.
Friendly staff. Fabulous breakfast. Great location.
The fire alarm going off four times just after seven in the morning.
Rooms were a good size and clean
Advert says it is "set in 3 acres" this gives the impression there are gardens when in fact the hotel covers the entire area. Bed was uncomfortable due to synthetic covers giving us a cold but clammy night. Noisy central heating. No Wifi apart from in public areas. Expensive at £20 for a dog. Expensive Restaurant.
Being disabled, the garden room allocated was very convenient, with parking on the doorstep. Breakfast was excellent, poached eggs done to perfection, good choice of menu and herbal teas. Despite being on a major road, very quiet.
The bed was very hard and a garden room not advisable in bad weather especially for the disabled.
