very helpful staff and food good value for money
Somewhat jaded hotel. DID NOT like bed covers with marks or old brown blankets-had to strip bed and just use sheets.
Menu items not available. Service/food selection poor. Coach group favoured over other guests, and told to us by staff.
Friendly staff who were eager to assist. Good food at dinner and breakfast. Location was easy to find. Public areas of the hotel were bright and clean.
Garden rooms were a little dingy and the bed cover in one of our rooms was stained.
comfort of rooms, friendliness of the staff, quality of food, although too much for older people.would have stayed another night had there been room!
hazardous traffic when exiting the hotel.
Comfortable, quiet garden room. Very powerful hot shower. Used for overnight stay. Very good meal in hotel restaurant. Staff friendly and helpful
Traffic through Hereford is a nightmare.
A lovely room which offered space and comfort.
Shower temperature going from hot to cold, hot to cold all the time
Close to Hereford town, very friendly staff, clean and comfortable
The staff, very friendly and helpfull, room very clean . Food was very good. Very comfortable and quite even though there was a weding going on somewhere!
There was a drowning noise at night in the room which didn't stop you sleeping but a bit annoying. Quality of the coffee was a bit disappointing and not up to the standard of the food. Could be a wider choice of tea or coffee in the room.
Garden rooms quiet and secluded
No swimming pool
The garden rooms, are outside rooms and you can hear clearly people talking in the next room, or cars pulling up etc.
Staff were pleasant and helpful.
Our 'garden room' was O.K. but there was litter on the grass, and at 5.30 a.m. I was awakened by what I assumed were drivers from the parked coaches!! Not good.
The staff were excellent ,obliging helpful and doing their jobs correctly. The food was nicely served and quickly, perhaps because they were not busy in the restaurant due to a wedding taking over the majority of hotel rooms. The room was in a quiet position away from any noise although it did smell as though it had not been used for a while. Breakfast excellent.
The musty funny smell in the bathroom.
Just about everything the breakfast very good good value all round
Can't think of anything
Staff very welcoming, especially the Restaurant Staff. Good food and waiting staff made two dinners very pleasant, The hotel made our trip to Hereford a pleasant experience.
Room in main building was far preferable to the 'garden room' which had an uninviting 'motel' feel to it. The staff in reception, the night porter and staff in the restaurant were all very friendly and polite and were very helpful in changing rooms, in accommodating breakfast arrangements and in providing local travel advice. Good breakfast!
Garden room setting felt uninviting.
Good value for money, clean room. Pleasing attitude of the staff.
I thought £12 for a breakfast was way over the top. If you charged a reasonable price you would get more people taking it.
Restaurant food poor presentation & quality not very good, overpriced. Bar area very busy due to there being wedding parties, lots of children running around the bar area. Rooms are a little tired.
staff were very pleasant and helpful.Breakfast excellent and good choice of menu for evening meal
Staff so friendly, room very comfortable, bed ..dud not want to get up. Breakfast superb.
Leaving all too soon.
Dinner menu had a lot of choice and food was very enjoyable
Room in need of refurb.
Staff were very polite and professional. Food was excellent
Very good facilities and excellent restaurant. We were able to get a bus nearby into the city centre which was helpful
Approach to our garden room was a little dark and quite a lot of cigarette butts outside it
Location and parking
Noise from other guests. Also I didn't like having blankets instead of duvets.
excellent location good facilities
The location was ideal for a family visit to Wales
The resturant and bar staff were very poorley trained, I beleave it was the first night for the young girl on duty and she did not know were to find enything
