The staff were excellent. Food was very good.
The linen was old and had a musty smell, they need to replace the linen.
Have to say how Friendly the Staff were absolutely great, clean and good food both in quality and choice.
WiFi connection would not always connect otherwise nothing.
Friendliness and helpfulness of all staff. Rural situation with good views. Selection of croissants, fruit and cereals at breakfast.
Greasy, over cooked full English breakfast - far too much to eat and remain comfortable! Slightly dingy/sticky feel to most surfaces and whole place has a tired look to it. A shame as could be very good.
one stop shop nice evening meal and friendly staff no need to drive any where else
All the staff were very friendly. The owners made us feel very welcome. The rooms were very nice and modern, clean and warm. The food is highly recommended. I would definitely stay here again and I will tell everyone about this place. Looking forward to the next visit.
Very friendly owners
Location. Breakfast. Staff friendliness. Chair in room.
Mattress very soft. Too much light entering the room at night. Bathroom requires a lot of general maintenance. Wi-Fi did not work in room.
The hotel is in a lovely rural setting. The room was very good with all the required facilities including drink making. The food was excellent , you will need to have a hearty appetite if you go for the full English breakfast it was huge
We have just returned from a lovely stay at the three horseshoes inn. The owners Sara and Martin were fantastic and so were the bar and waiting staff, Nothing was too much trouble. The place is also extremely dog friendly. A Oldie worldie traditional inn, the bedrooms are a little basic (but comfortable and clean) and they have added a few little special touches. It is approx 10-15 minutes from Durham centre. If we were to return to Durham we would definitely stay here again.
Room was quite nice. Staff were very friendly.
Quite a way out of Durham (although in a car only 10 mins it feels isolated). Durham isn't a destination I would recommend visiting. Room was a little tired in places. Bed was very soft, just foam I think, not very comfortable.
staff very friendly ,views from inn excellent.
the bathroom toilet did not flush & while we were there it actualy leeked very bad. this caused a nasty smell.the shower also did not work and leeked badly as well.we were led to believe we had a shower but no .it was a very horrid green bath.the bathroom was never cleaned the whole of 5 days spent in it.
Traffic noise (appreciate nothing can be done about this). Shower room tired and could have been cleaner.
Breakfast good, evening meals available very good and nice atmosphere in Pub
The bathroom! It was clean but old and not a very nice aroma coming from the sink
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, especially the full English breakfast. Quick service, food piping hot, presentation excellent. En suite room just what we wanted, comfortable, clean, well stocked with amenities. Loved it from start to finish, both the location and everything about it. Well done everybody who made our stay so lovely
Couldn't stay longer!!!
The food was delicious with a varied menu, very tasty and more than enough to eat it was not over priced either. Staff and proprietors very friendly
The residents lounge would be better cordoned off from the corridor running from kitchen to dining area. I was draughty and not very private
location. value for money breakfast selection, portion size evening meals- fantastic menu, reasonably priced. Excellent staff
traffic noise at front of inn could be a problem for light-sleepers.
Good overnighter, excellent food and very convenient for motorist's. It's also very dog friendly.
dinner breakfast staff location wi fi choice of dinner and breakfast would put many large hotels to shame
Great menu, great food. Excellent breakfast.
Friendliness, Food, Made you feel very much at home and could not do enough for you.
There was nothing not to like
Food was gorgeous, staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Great value for money.
Rooms need overhauling; very outdated and plain.
It was a fantastic place to stay. Staff very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our children were made to feel very welcome. The breakfast was incredibly good value. A real gem of the North. We will definitely be going back!
The people were friendly and helpful and lovely peace and quite after a days work. In general felt well at ease and comfortable.
The ambiance, the room, the restaurant and the marvellous food.
Couldn't stay any longer!!
Staff were very friendly and very obliging.wifi was the best we have ever had in a b and b.it was available everywhere we went.Food-nicest tastiest steak I have ever had and there was a large choice.Dog was made very welcome and there was no charge.
Road outside was very fast with no pavement,so it was not easy to find a place to walk a large dog. The owner told me I could use the field next door to walk my dog. A sign indicating this is my only issue with this b and b.
