Don't take any notice of the slightly faded decor - this hotel is really nice. The room was comfortable and quiet and there was plenty of hot water. I was mostly eating at my conference, but the ham, egg and chips I had one evening was possibly the best I've ever eaten. And very reasonably priced. The staff and owners are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again if I need to be in the area.

The hotel was comfortable, clean and the staff were friendly. The only close parking was in the asda car park at the rear which charges by the hour.

Friendly atmosphere; spacious dining areas; a little down at heel but quite acceptable; sense of history especially with Rugby School close by; convenient for shops and only about 20 mins walk to the station. A few leaflets well out of date but even they gave you an idea of where to go.

Nice english style with the big fireplace in the restaurant. Dinners are affordable and the rooms are pretty quiet. I have the single room and it was ok, without a view though, but it makes it even more quiet. Very strong internet connection. Full english breakfast too which is decent. Excellent location in the center of town with parking close by.

Myself and my wife and two members of her family attended a wedding at Rugby schools, so obviously the hotel is ideally located. We stayed for one night which included a splendid buffet breakfast, with ample choice, which we all enjoyed very much. We stayed in a double room and a twin room, both were excellent. There was a party taking place in the function room, the same night that we stayed, which was naturally accompanied by music. On arriving at our room in the early hours of the morning, the party was still going strong. On closing the bedroom door, the silence was most welcome, allowing both my wife and I to sleep like babies. The staff both in the evening and at breakfast were very friendly and very helpful.

Excellent location; cheap and cheerful; friendly and helpful staff; good bar and excellent dining room/meals; excellent cooked breakfast; clean and tidy room of adequate size; toiletries provided. There should be shelves for toiletries in shower and above wash basin. A room safe would be a bonus. The lack of car parking could be a minus point (but I did not have a car).

The beds were comfortable and it was quiet. Stayed for two nights and room was not made up after first night. Also when I checked my booking after I got home I found I had been overcharged by £10.

(My cousin and I linked up there, for a funeral... My aunt and uncle had already checked in, and four more relations arrived the next day...) The barmaid was lovely - and amenable to us rearranging the seating for a big family reunion on the first night. The receptionist was an angel - kind, helpful, patient, and ready with information and advice. She stretched the breakfast deadline for us by half an hour, to accommodate two early arrivals. They were delayed, so we cancelled them - then they'd made up time, and she managed to get the breakfast chef to hang on for them, after all. That meant so much - superb service! The late- night barman was very courteous as well, when the two of us had a final "nightcap". The hotel has an excellent central location, is reasonably priced, has quite a bit of atmosphere and character. As I've said, the staff were great - probably the most important thing of all, at the end of the day. Oh, forgot to say: they allowed my elderly uncle and aunt to have their room well before "time", when they arrived earlier than expected - and my cousin was out of the room a little later than specified, with not a trace of a dirty look! I'm not sure whether this is a family-run hotel, but it certainly feels like it, in the best possible way. Thanks, Three Horseshoes, I'd definitely stay with you again, and probably will. Would recommend to family and friends... Bedroom in need of a paint job, but given that the hotel is probably very child friendly, maybe it's hard to keep on top of toddler abuse. Didn't bother me much, but I couldn't help noticing, and it may bother some. What did bother me more, was the series of snakes of peeling-off filler around the bathroom fixtures. But maybe that's not fair, because I do have a bit of a "thing" about that. But it was clean... These couple of minor negatives in no way detract from the overall positive impression I had of this lovely welcoming hotel!

Breakfast was started earlier than usual on the sunday to accomodate those wanting to leave early to get to the grand prix. Larger hotels would not offer that flexibilty. Also good location within Rugby, and access to M1. Had to park in the ASDA car park. Only a 2 min walk but would have preferred it if they had their own/secure car park.

The Hotel staff were very friendly and efficient. The room was very spacious. I am afraid the central location of the hotel meant that there was a lot of noise during the night.

Friendly staff, very helpful for breakfast as we had to be away at 6am! Reasonably priced rooms and cheap food. It is a very noisy pub downstairs with loud music on until around midnight but we were that tired that we managed to sleep through it.

Too far from car park.Woken in night by another guest banging on the door to be let in at 01:30am. Bottle skips at Weatherspoons oppsite being emptied at 04:00am. Hot water pressure not high enough to reach shower head - so had to take cold shower

The Hotel staff were very friendly and entertaining and nothing was to much trouble for them. The food was excellent and good value. Most of all the Hotel was situated in the town and ideal for entertainment within a short distance. I enjoyed my visit and would stay there again.
