The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was fabulous - I had an awesome steak cooked to perfection. The pool was warm, well maintained and I had it to myself :-) The sea view from my room was pretty breathtaking. The room was comfortable, clean and nicely set out. I was on business and the location was perfect for me with a trip to Pembrokeshire on the first day and Cardiff on the second - roughly half-way between the two destinations. I would have loved to have had time to explore the area and as such, I plan to visit again for pleasure with my wife and pet Border Collie - the hotel is dog friendly with rooms with terraces available for your pet. Recommended!
My only whinge has nothing to do with the hotel, or location, but that I was on business and therefore had no time to explore.
It was a nice bedroom with a balcony good size bath and plenty of hot water. Good views. Evening meal good size portions breakfast the same each morning. Would of enjoyed more variety. Easy parking. A nice size swimming pool, good facilities.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful
Nothing to do in the evening
There was a wedding at the hotel on the Saturday evening I would have liked to have known this before booking as we went to the hotel for a peaceful break the group became a little bit roudy :( however we didn't let it spoil the weekend and did enjoy our stay and we will definitely book again
The location is stunning, though actually the views from many of the rooms is not amazing. But I went for a run in the afternoon and then watched the sun set and the tide come in from just across the railway line. The food was good, the room was big, the staff were friendly.
It was all pretty good, really.
The sauna and Jacuzzi.
Very noisy on Saturday night from people who were drinking, shouting and singing below our room. Breakfast would be nicer if cooked fresh to order.
Caroline looks after everyone in a friendly manner. Rob provides an excellent service, and handles the busy periods and 'awkward customers' with professionalism. Can't fault any of the staff during the stay, and its always nice to see a female chef doing a great job
nothing - can't fault it
Location, views and food.
Dogs in the dining room
The room The evening menu The indoor pool
Breakfast very ordinary, self-service and nowhere near as good as the evening food.
We only stayed 5 days but at the end of our stay I felt fully rested. We enjoyed every evening meal very well cooked. Breakfast was plentiful and good selection. Staff were so friendly and gave us some useful ideas for days out. Millie our Saffi x was well excepted.
Can't think of anything.
Very friendly, great food and a comfortable sleep.
Staff excellent nothiig was too much trouble during our stay one of our party became ill the staff could not do rough to help. The food wasfirst rate with good size portions.. The location was perfect quiet but convienent for the nearest town Carmarthen. On site facility's are excellent. Treat your self we booked 4 days and ended up stay for 7 book now you won't be disappointed
Glasses could have been cleaner bit of a let down considering.
Dirty room, had to clean toilet, no toilet paper had to ask! Self service means self service there were kettles in dining area to make your own tea, poor choice of food at breakfast, evening meal terrible and lovely view over carpark and caravan site, bulbs misssing from lamps - really poor
Staff were friendly and helpful
Electricity went off twice during our stay. The first time my family including my 7 year old granddaughter, were stuck in the lift, until my daughter and son prised the doors apart. Xx
A very warm welcome for a late, lost and exhausted cyclist - particularly the round of cheese sandwiches at 11.15pm long after the kitchen closed. My room was far too grand for my needs and short stay, but enjoyable nonetheless.
The staff at the Three Rivers Hotel were extremely friendly and approachable. Caroline, the manager, was especially conversational and sincere. I would implore you to request a sea view room as there is a spectacular backdrop to the very active tidal system, a genuine delight to wake up to each morning. Lastly the English breakfast was delicious, I write as a vegetarian. Alongside the bowl of cereal I remained full for 7-8 hours each day!
I can't think of anything of note.
The staff are great rob manages it well AND THE FAMLE CHEF COOKS A GREAT DISH MIDWEEK
some problams with room bins not being emptied by the cleaning staff
Friendly and welcoming staff. Comfortable room. Nicely cooked fish for dinner.
Too few staff to cope with the number of guests. Constant noise outside room - kitchen ventilation perhaps? Unimaginative and slightly over-cooked vegetables with dinner. Sorry but breakfast was really very poor indeed. Looked like they had cooked all that they thought would be needed first thing and put it all out on the heated servery so that it was thoroughly over-cooked by 8am. The scrambled egg, which I will only eat if freshly cooked, looked totally unappetising, possibly the worst I have ever seen. Really could do better and should have for the price of the room.
The people were very friendly. The food was tremendous, I have never tasted liver like I had there it was marvellous.
not a lot of signs to say where things were. Smokers allowed to smoke to near to open doors and windows which spoils it for no smokers as there is nowhere for a non smoker to sit without getting choked by cigarette smoke.
Food was very good breakfast bit basic but evening meal excellent.
Signage and directions poor. More like country pub than hotel. Ask for room with front view if you can we were at back with side view front views excellent.
arrived and booking was for two single beds and found the bedroom was a double. the staff resolved the issue very professionally and I was able to celebrate my birthday . We were offered cottage for the night
Fantastic service from Rob and his team, warm welcome, first class evening meal, well cooked, fresh ingredients and well presented in the Poachers Brassiere. My Hunters Chicken was moist and it was a pleasure to have the sauce served separately so I could add what I wanted. Breakfast was freshly prepared buffet style, great thick cut bacon. We had a deluxe room overlooking the estuary which was beautiful. A real hidden gem close to Carmarthen. If your in the area book yourself in we will certainly be back.
Nothing the whole stay was faultless and we are well seasoned travellers who are very critical of hotels and food!
Nothing was too much trouble, we were looked after brilliantly. Unobtrusive but attentive. Honestly one of the best places I have stayed. Bed was too hard though
