Loud music Friday night until 3.00am Saturday (18th Oct.) Didn't know where it was coming from. Revellers out in the street until 4.00am. Had about 2 hours sleep. Probably same on Saturday night. We had breakfast which was not good for £12.50 each. We then moved out and went on to another lovely place (love to say where but sure will be deleted). Staff in 3 Swans denied any knowledge of noise. Never again.
Hot room, shower,
Almost everything, although some area (restaurant & breakfast rooms) were under renovation. Nice old fashion atmosphere.
Car park is split in different places and maybe too small in total for the hotel needs. One block of rooms needs to be refurbished; windows are old and plenty of blurts. Wifi signal weak in some room and I would prefer a lower level of blocking filter toward internet sites.
Asked for 2 extra to join us for breakfast. They were two children aged 11yrs and15yrs we were charged £12.50. each for their breakfasts which is far too much in view of the fact that we were guests for the night. You have a long way to go to make this hotel value for money!
Cold breakfast. Passage through the hotel allowed late night revellers pass from one part of the town to another. Carpets were dirty and needed cleaning. Beds sqeeked. Desperately needing updating.
Room- recently refurbished and well presented. Tv choice excellent with full Sky inc sports.
Breakfast. Ripoff £12.50 each. Went in at 09.10 on Sunday morning to find most hot food gone and remainder cold. Many people milling around awaiting fresh supplies, which never turned up until 09.55! 5 mins before close .terrible service. Will not be repeating the experience.
Town centre location
Deposits left in toilet Mould in shower Faulty shower head
Stayed here many times before. Hotel with great character and good value. We always use Best Western hotels whenever possible.
Very clean and toasty
Have stayed here in the past and all was fine, hence this visit, never again.
Construction work in progress. Should Should have been informed at point of booking refurbishment was in progress. Constant noise. Parking and access very difficult. Narrow staircase and passage way to rooms. Repeated failure of key cards. Do not take a room overlooking the quad, this amplifies the chiming from the clock tower in the main street. Limited in house menu because of refurbishment
Cannot praise highly enough , room was excellent , beautiful bed , flat screen tv with full sky package , bar & outside area an absolute pleasure , staff courteous & very polite , ideally located & room service prompt & excellent value
thought bar food prices were very expensive in comparison to everything else offered
New outside furniture
Central position excellent parking
Church bells all night
Room was ok - typical for this standard of hotel.
When we arrived we were put in a room for the disabled with special swinging chair in wet room etc. Wet room was still wet all over floor. Changed when I asked. Noise from above of footsteps and the smallest of movement was very loud and intrusive. We were told this was because it was a very old hotel but we have stayed in much older ones and never had this much noise! Room was in hotel car park - we were woken up at 2.30 by noisy people outside - think it may have been staff leaving but not sure. When we mentioned this the next morning, were told we should have phoned reception (at 2.30 in the morning!!?)
Food - the scrambled egg at breakfast was terrible and breads were not fresh
Central location, good breakfast, accommodating staff.
Hotel is in need of the refurbishment which is planned for the coming months. Shower was not very powerful.
bar staff were good.easy access to the town.
the shower was slow running.the noise from the outside kept me awake.i thought the price should have included breakfast.
Nothing. In every respect the image of Best Western gained from experience at US locations has been severely dented.A big let down.
We booked for overnight breaks on our trip to and from a drive to Harrogate. Going up we arrived outside without any forewarning of the arrangement and location of hotel parking and had to attempt to park on the street before entering and obtaining directions. No offer of help to move baggage was made.My wife is disabled and I am 89 so fortunately we were given a ground floor room.On booking in our request for an evening meal created confusion because the hotel restaurant was booked for a wedding and eventually we ate very early and alone a very mediocre meal with limited options. Surely as prebooked guests the Hotel should have anticipated our expectations and we should have been advised in advance. On the return trip we were allocated an upstairs room and staff were .unwilling to arrange a ground floor room because it was claimed that the computer was down. Still no offer of assistance with baggage and we were both at risk of falling on the stairs due to the lack of adequate hand rail support on steep and narrow steps. This is a serious hazard.
The location was great in the heart of everything
Could hear the church clock chiming but not much you can do about that!!
We were attending a wedding reception nearby so the hotel was a good location.
marvelous location for Market Harborough.
Oh my what a night from hell, had we had read or realised that the church 200m away from the hotel rang its bells every halfnan hour all night up to 5am and then every quarter of an hour from there on we would have no way of stayed here, we have a young family and no one slept, each time you nodded of you were woken with the dings and dongs of those blooming bells. NEVER AGAIN!!!!
Great location in the centre of town. Good, clean room.
Didn't bother with the breakfast as felt £12.50 per person was overpriced.
Location, comfort, decor, services. Value due to price offer.
Bird poo covering car in the morning.
size of the room, room view, all in all fantastic stay,
