Good central location
Signage around hotel could have been better
Fantastic old coaching inn full of character!
Parts of the hotel are only accessible via stairs, including the restaurant. BUT, if you let them know about any guests with mobility problems they can serve you with breakfast downstairs in the conservatory.
the staff were lovely and the food is good
the hotel is very dated and needs a refurb. the bedrooms are very tired, and the bathrooms need a modernising
Location of hotel was very good, with car parking.
Walking acrosss the courtyard for breakfast.
Comfortable room, good breakfast.
Church bells, key card needed for external door did not always work. Maroon button back velour wall in other wise delightful bar!
Excellent choice of items at breakfast. Comfortable rooms. Everywhere very warm. Plenty of helpful staff. Good bar.
Hot food trays at breakfast not quite hot enough
Me and my friends stayed for a night the rooms was lovely and good value,
The staff are very friendly and efficient, room well equipped. Breakfast was very nice, a good choice of hot food. Happy to stay here again.
The meal for 5 in the Bistro was horrible, food over salted. Chef obviously had a real problem with us sending back 2 meals. Cannot recommend this place for an evening meal. Waitress was friendly and professional.
Friendly staff location in the town and overall very comfortable abiance
Very nice, luxurious and spacious room? Shame we only stayed one night but would definitely stay again and recommend to friends. We also had an evening meal in the restaurant and can recommend the food.
The room was a little cold and we couldn't work out how to operate the heating. Bathroom could do with a little TLC. Parking was a bit of a nightmare due to an event in Market Harborough.
The room was warm and comfortable Twin Beds room spacious and clean as was the bathroom excellent location for our visit to the Christmas fair. Staff were lovely would stay there again.
My partner pointed out that the metal plant holder supports , where a safety hazard as plant holders were temporarily removed for outside painting. They accepted his point as there were no warnings present.
No lift, tired and out of date ensuite, four poster that had mattress that dipped in middle and was lumpy. Buffet breakfast items dry and some items not hot enough.
The location and bar / food facilities are great
I was not informed that i was going to be put in a very small room in the main house all fixtures and fittings were old and dirty and room was very small. I would have been happier if the staff had been honest and told me that I was paying the same rate for this room as one of the normal rooms in the outer blocks that are better. I would have been happy if they had offered this at a discount rate. No very good service or experience. !
Waterpressure in the shower, next to none!!!
Well appointed ground floor room. Bottles water in room free of charge plus homemade biscuits and fruit.
Restaurant food was not very good quality in the evening this may have been because it was a Sunday but this not mentioned in the advertising. Upstairs restaurant used for breakfast was grubby and in need of refurbishment although the buffet breakfast food was good. Although we had an upgraded room the bathroom was very small and rather dated.
The location and character of the Hotel and the food was lovely.
The room was far too warm and it was very noisy outside our room. We were staying in the extended part at the back.
Easy parking and efficient reception - nice room, and bathroom with good lighting and hot water.
Noisy bath taps and loo flush! Function suite bar not fully manned so slow, without waiter service, but food good.
Easy Parking Location in town centre Dining options
THAT town clock chiming every quarter.....unless it was a fault
Room very comfortable, everything I needed was available.
Décor tasteful and in the middle of an upgrade Staff friendly and helpful Bar friendly and very wide ranging Food & menu excellent Room amazingly equipped and brand new Breakfast superb Bed very comfortable
All as stated above.
Couldn't close the window at night Church Bells sounding all night.
The attitude of the receptionist. Noise from church bells, also noise made by passing people late at night. The food was not worth the cost.
The attitude and service provided by the staff in the Bistro was excellent.
I was not offered a bill to check before being asked to pay. On requesting a copy of the bill I found I had been overcharged by £25 for two breakfasts on the morning before I arrived. No apology was made for this error - not good!!
Friendly, helpful and attentive staff. Comfort of room and wonderful breakfast. Value for money. Superbly quiet room offered as an upgrade from our booking.
Car park not especially well signposted.
