It was right in the centre of the town giving easy access to shops and restaurants. The staff were friendly. It was clean and well looked after. Key cards were confusing - not marked with function or room number.

A most enjoyable stay, in an excellent location to visit a family member who lives in the centre of Market Harborough. (For further comments, please see my completed questionaire left with the receptionist.) No lift for disabled guests visiting the restaurant.

Everything within reach; our room was in a building just opposite the main building (20y) and the wedding reception was in another building approx 30y from our room, all in one, very good.

Extremely convenient location. Friendly and efficient staff. Good choice of places to sit or eat/drink in hotel. Food of good standard and very keenly priced. Breakfast was the usual buffet offering, but much better cooked than in many other establishments. Room was smallish for a double but had all the usual facilities. I particularly appreciated easily controllable heating, openable windows, and (quite rare in hotels, I find) decent lighting. My bathroom had a shower cubicle but no tub. Some of the grouting/seals needed attention. No independent locking device or door-restraint. Why don't all hotels make this essential provision?

Charming staff without exception; excellent situation in town centre; quiet, clean and very comfortable. A hotel with a long history: the Fothergill bar - Mr Fothergill was a character in the town. There was a television programme about him some thirty years ago. A very interesting hotel with perhaps the most beautiful inn-sign in Britain. My partner found the Sunday restaurant (which is not the main restaurant) rather cold, but has a preference for Sub-tropical warmth. We'll tell them next time, for warmer seating position. Everyone else was quite comfortable.

Excellent bedroom. Swans restaurant offering good value food and having an excellent young woman manager The bar areas are tired and the young bar staff playing loud extremely poor music before dinner such that conversation was difficult

The hotel was comfortable with reasonably large rooms. The free internet is a great move as we like to keep in touch when we are away The reason for our stay was to get away for New Years eve even though we live only 11 miles away. Our only small criticism was the tv was a bit small, a modest flat screen tv would have been a good idea.

The staff were brilliant, we also had a Christmas lunch in the private room which was great value for money. This will be an annual trip and we will definitely be coming back to the Three Swans. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The night porter was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is extremely noisy on a Monday morning when all the glass is collected for recycling. When a member of our group complained in the morning the manager/owner was not at all helpful and did not want to do anything to make up for the poor night's sleep that he'd had not recompense in any way. We have stayed here several times before as we often need to come to the town on business but we will all be choosing an alternative hotel for our next visit. The way the complaint was dealt with was rude and dismissive and not acceptable...

Easy access to town. Pity it was in the centre of town - Church clock in town centre `chimed` every quarter of hour & on the hour - being a light sleeper - I heard most chimes during the night!!! I think I missed the 06:00 chimes. Luckily it did not affect the wife???

Location and history of hotel The adjacent room, I have been woken up by their noise and one can notice it is an old building. Very noisy through thin walls.. No good for a sleep in on a Sunday !

“What a fantastic find. Beautiful hotel, in a lovely setting. Staff very attentive. Food excellent in both the restaurant and Cafe Neville, where you have your breakfast. We had our breakfast in the lovely courtyard area sat in the sun. We could have been anywhere in the world. With out a doubt we will be back.” Ian, Scunthorpe |
