Everything, owners David & Pauline were great fun and very welcoming. Nice rural position with good views. Lovely room. Short walk to excellent pub/restaurant that served large and very good meals. Would go out of my way to stay there again. Highly recommended.

Clean and friendly B&B with a spacious room and wonderful views over the unspoilt countryside. We were given a warm welcome by Dave who showed us round and introduced us to Pauline. The farmhouse is situated within walking distance of the Three Wheat Heads pub where we had delicious meals and friendly service every night and in easy driving distance of most of the main tourist attractions – castles, coast, and beautiful countryside. Breakfast was a great opportunity to chat with the other guests as we all shared the same table and we were waited on attentively by Dave with as much coffee and Pauline’s delicious home-made bread as we wanted as well as a selection of fruit and/or cereal, fruit juices, yogurt, brioche and the cooked breakfast that had been ordered the night before.

We were rather disappointed that we were unable to have boiled egg for breakfast as ‘it wasn’t on the menu’ although fried or scrambled eggs were. There was possibly an oversight in that there was no granulated sugar to go with the cereal, just lump sugar. It would have been nice to have had a change of towels after a couple of days as they did not dry out very well and the water was never really hot enough for a soak in the bath after a long, wet walk.

Pauline and Dave were excellent hosts and made us all feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They were extremely helpful with recommendations on places to visit and to eat out. Breakfasts were good and we loved the homemade bread which Pauline baked each day. Would consider staying again if needed a bed for the night!

The views and the setting were beautiful- handy for direct access to roads yet very quiet with no traffic noise. Places of interest were near. A good centre. We hope to return there anther year. Our hosts were attentive and friendly. An excellent breakfast in light airy conservatory.

We would have liked either a small jug of fresh milk (to avoid packaging) or some extra little cartons to put in our tea as these were limited.

The communal breakfast arrangements allowed the opportunity to share experiences with the other guests in a friendly atmosphere.

While there was nothing specific and the hosts were very friendly we felt the reviews slightly oversold the value for money of this establishment.

Outstanding views from bedroom window. Hosts very friendly and welcoming. Breakfasts varied, plentiful and good quality.

Bathroom in particular grubby and in need of good clean. Sharing a breakfast table with other guests. Fortunately the other couples were pleasant and as we had much in common the small talk flowed. Otherwise breakfast could have been awkward. Felt the tariff expensive .
