Kevin was very helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was a nice way to start the day. Recommended, especially if you are in town to see Liverpool FC play at home. The hotel is very conveniently located between the city centre and the stadiums.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was big and the shower was hot and powerful. The blinds were thin and in parts broken so a lot of light came through from the street lights during the night.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, particularly Kevin. The rooms were spotless and we were given a free upgrade room as well. The location was perfect for visiting Liverpool, with only a £3 or £4 taxi cab into the centre. Would most definitely stay here again.

We used the Hotel as it was close to Anfield. The immediate area is unattractive but you can get to Liverpool One and the Waterfront easily. Easy walk back from the Stadium. Very comfortable rooms, nice breakfast and very good service throughout our stay. The pub downstairs is not family friendly so I would keep out of there!

It stank of cigarettes and I have come back feeling like I have smoked a pack of 20. I don't smoke. The website totally miss sells this hotel which I suppose it has to as it's shocking.

Staff were friendly and very helpful. The room I was given was not en-suite which was stipulated to me at the time of the booking or online. The location of Throstles Nest Hotel is in a dodgy area of Liverpool. That is not my opinion, that is a fact. There is nothing else on the street only a pub and bookies. No restaurants in case you think you are a short walk away from one.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the location easy to find with a map. However, no place around to have a dinner apart from a pizza place. The breakfast was very tasty and the waitress very polite. The room quite small but clean. The price I think should be lower

It was very laid back ,the staff were very freind,ly and helpful ,the breakfast was great ,we were there to visit the uni which was just over 1 mile away ,a com, fortable hotel rather than luxu, rious but well worth the money ,would stay there again Not a complaint ,but is close to city on quite a busy road so some people may find some rooms slightly noise,y but if you want to walk to city or football ,perfect

Comfortable bed, en suite, warm, good breakfast, friendly/helpful staff. Decor could be more attractive, current colour scheme gives it a negelected look . Furniture in room could be better arranged to give more space and freedom to move around.

Not luxury priced and therefore not a luxury hotel. However with this in mind it was faultless. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful, rooms were good and spotless, Breakfast was excellent and though not in the most salubrious spot, a mere £3 cab ride from the door to the city centre made life exremely easy.

It looks to have been recently refurbished, and was convenient for the event I was attending. 1. The hotel/pub are 'one in the same ' but the pub closed at 2130 ( 09.30pm ). 2. Too close to very busy main road and single glazed window units were as good as having none. 3.Far too expensive for what you get.

We were in Liverpool to watch Liverpool beat Utd and Throstles nest suited our needs perfectly. Its location half way between the city centre and Anfield was ideal (around 5 pound in a cab to either). Staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast hit the spot. This hotel is good value and perfect for groups on a city break or over for the football.

This is a pub come hotel. The pub is friendly and full of locals. It is in an area which is run down without any other bars or shops close by.

The best thing about Throstles Nest has got to be the staff, they are genually some of the nicest people I have ever met. They looked after us, made sure we were up in time for our train, fed, and they even booked a taxi for us.
