Every thing had a wonderful stay
Having to go out every night to have tea. But that still didn't put us off.
personal greeting, more than adequate breakfast
deep rut on property road entrance, not good for our small car
mountain views. quite and restful. well appointed. good service. Adrian supplied ice bag when my wife sprained her ankle. parking facility. brilliant weather
nothing comes to mind!
Location Service Breakfast Cleanliness
Bathroom -- no room to move Shower in bath ridiculous without curtain or similar!
Stunning rooms and views. The Best English breakfast!! Top quality!!
We were lucky enough to be the only guests at the time and Adrian gave us his undivided attention.
There was nothing to dislike.
Better views for the twin rooms.
Old world charm, great full breakfasts, very friendly and helpful owner, gorgeous scenery, not too busy or crowded location
Wish I'd been warned to bring a torch for the unlit walk to the nearest pub!
Good Food and service in a very welcoming and pleasant atmosphere.
That we couldn't stay longer, we had to go home alas.
Fabulous view from room Lovely grounds Great home cooked breakfast Helpful owner gave good local advice Easy access to Keswick and good local attractions
No shower, only small bath Bed seemed quite small Breakfast times quite limited, especially for weekends (8 - 8.45)
Adrian was very nice host Delicious breakfast Lovely large room beautiful view of the countryside private
difficult to find. Need clearer signage
We feel like home and the breakfast is excellent.
Quite location close to all amenities in the Lake District. Hosts Adrian and Nicole were only surpassed by their two delightful children. The stately home is maintained in top condition with a common room in which to relax, read or used the Internet provided. I rate this facility as the top of our bookings in a one month, trip.
Very nice hotel near Keswick. We were welcomed by Adrian upon our arrival. Rooms and bathrooms were excellent. Very nice traditional English breakfast. Also selection of cereals and yogurt accompanied by fresh cafetiere coffee. Excellent restaurant a little over a mile away (Middle Ruddings) where we had two excellent dinners
We liked the welcome from Adrian, the comfortable bedroom with excellent bathroom, the lounge where we could get together for a cuppa and a drink before going out. The breafast was really tasty, freshly cooked and served efficiently. The location is great base to explore the Northern Lake District. There are good eating places nearby and Adrian gave us a recommendation for a lovely small restaurant.
Really friendly reception. Fantastic breakfast and overall great experience. We were made to feel really welcome and it is a charming old house.
The view from the room was beautiful, couldnt have asked for a nicer view. Quite location not far from Keswick. Good selection for breakfast.
Breakfast was a little limited for time, 8-8.45 was a little early on a Sunday morning. Room was a bit old fashioned and no proper shower, just a shower head attached to the bath and no screen meaning you needed to sit in the bath and try to avoid flooding the room.
The view was beautiful, service was great, very welcoming and comfortable. Great value for money
Friendly greeting and chats with Adrian. Wonderful view and wildlife visiting the garden. Closeness to Keswick and the lakes.
Rather precarious driveway entrance.
the peace and quiet of the location
the access road can be a little difficult to negotiate with quite large pot holes
Host was great. Helpful and friendly Beautiful old house, and the views to die for. Great breakfast room with nice laidout tables. Food fresh and plentiful. Great bathroom. Bed was very comfortable.
Maybe another chair in our bedroom so that we could both have sat and read or watch t.v .
Excellent views from the B&B, only a short drive to Keswick, very friendly and in a lovely old house, very roomy and there was a communal room.
nothing really as we had a very pleasant stay, the shower hose on the lovely old style bath was a little awkward for hair washing.
Beautiful location,views. Innkeeper.
The friendliness of the owner and the wonderful location
We had the attic room and there was only an "over the bath" shower. The bath was quite steep and hard to get in and out of.
