We enjoyed the location of the hotel, the big and clean room, the food that was excellent and not expensive, and of course, the price/quality rapport. The wi-fi worked fine in my room and was free.

Nothing worth mentioning. We had a short, but great time there.

Prompt service; very clean room; comfortable bed; friendly staff; good food and ideally situated by the M6. Was heading enroute to visit Lancaster University with my son but would consider coming back for a weekend break with the family.

No air conditioning in room. Traffic noise from nearby motorway made opening the window unpractical. Had to negotiate steps to get to lift but staff offered to carry luggage to lift door.

The room was clean and spacious. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We had booked a family room with breakfast but on arrival the sofa bed wasn't made up. We sat down in the restaurant at 8.30 and despite only ordering a main and dessert we didn't finish eating until after 10 by which time the children were tired and fed up In the morning we were told that our board was room only so I had to find the email on my phone to prove that breakfast was included, and service at breakfast was again very slow.

Quality of rooms. No problem with gluten free breakfast and service was better.

Beware charge of £3 for credit cards. No obvious gluten free options on the bar menu. Offered overpriced burger(over cooked) and gluten free chips. Staff willing but service very slow.

Good price for what should be a quality hotel, but details let this down.

Room had zero sound proofing, so bad you could hear next door plugging in (and out) electrical items. Also able to hear their shower and tap running, hairdryer and even conversations and coughs. Shower leaked all over bathroom floor and bath surround had not been cleaned for some time. Spare bed requested prior to stay and when checking in but it wasn't in room. We had to ak for a 3rd time. Lots of squeaky doors (need oil) and a fire door was fastened open - illegal and didnt help noise suppression. This isn't what we expected from a MacDonald hotel.

Very near M6. Clean and comfortable. Excellent staff.

Food at dinner was awful. Fish and soggy chips! Stop this modern trend of laying the fish on top of the chips please. Breakfast took nearly an hour as staff seemed to be overwhelmed with orders. Perhaps a self-service breakfast would be better.

Check-in was efficient The room was comfortable and clean Breakfast was very good

Noise from wedding Banging doors My wife's Caesar's Salad had no chicken in it in spite of saying 'free range chicken' on the menu. Very overpriced for some lettuce, anchovies and croutons. Check-out took a long time because of other guests also complaining about the noise the night before from the wedding. Only one member of staff on to check-out guests. She tried to get assistance but no-one else came. 'Fawlty Towers' was mentioned by one of the other guests in the queue.

The room was well appointed, comfortable and clean, looking over the River Ribble. An idyllic setting. We deliberately asked for a room well away from the lifts but were given one very close to the lifts despite there being 24 or so rooms along the length of the second floor corridor. The breakfast would have been excellent but our son was unwell ... mainly due to lack of sleep ... and we were unable to sit for as long as we would have liked. The breakfast room staff were very pleasant, especially the older gentleman in charge that morning who showed us to a comfortable table with, once again, a lovely view of the river.

We did not factor into our overnight stay, breaking our journey from England to Scotland, the fact that a wedding would have been held in the hotel. All would have been fine if we had been given a room away from the lifts as requested at the time of my booking. However, despite being 2 floors above the function suite, we were still able to hear (very loudly) the evening wedding dancing, the disco and the DJ well into the night. None of us got any sleep before half one and thereafter, any sleep was a poor one. It didn't matter how comfortable the beds were ... we simply couldn't sleep with the noise below. The bass was thumping through the room, the walls were bouncing, as was my head!!! When people are asked to make a request, it's for a reason. Our son was poorly the whole of the next day and we would have been better driving home to Scotland that same night for we felt that we wasted our money staying in the hotel having had such a poor night. Which is a shame because it wasn't the 'fault' of the wedding as such, the comfort of the hotel or the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Would I stay again ... probably but I'd make certain that I checked about a wedding/function that night and insisted that the room was at the far end of the corridor as requested at the time of booking.

The food on the hint we stayed was disappointing. No staff for dining room and one very helpful young man in bar who was doing all the work. Also prices were high compared to other hotels on our trip especially the worn.
