It was an ideal location for our two day stay visiting Blackpool one day one and Southport on day two. The only concern we had on booking out, we were presented with a bill for£212-40 and not the £106-20 as quoted when we booked on-line with yourselves, and it was only after we showed them a copy of your e-mail confirmation that it was reluctantly accepted.

Friendly and helpful staff. Great price! The food was fantastic! Hotel was a bit hot, but think that was just the transition from Winter to Summer heating!

We had a major problem with room service , it ended up being a pain as room service kept calling us in our room, and knocking at the door after we ordered food , the room service manager told my husband off!! for ordering a small burger instead of a big one! We couldnt use the internet in our room as they couldnt connect us. The breakfast was nice as were the staff in the am and the receptionist.

We stayed for 2 nights in an executive room which was quiet, well equipped and comfortable. The location, just off the M6 at Preston, was convenient for us as we were doing business on the Fylde and my son was due in Manchester Sunday morning, Location excellent for our needs. Evening service in the Dining Room needs looking at. Childs meal served in oven hot dish - should have been decanted. This caused drinks being knocked over, staff quick to mop up. Waitress needed reminding twice about drinks order.

Restaurant food was excellent, as were the staff. Being on the river side of the hotel greatly enhanced the experience. Breakfast not being included in the quoted price did detract from our impression of the hotel. The breakfast was also not worth the rather expensive price. The complimentary extras not being fully replaced was a first for us.

There was a mix up when we arrived as we said late evening =9.30pm The young reception said rthat there was an issue re my credit card security # but he said that we could stay but the matter could be resolved in the morning We found this so upsetting as we had had a # of e mails with you and no one said there was a problem The Day time Receptionist explained the situation the following morning but I think the young person on duty was not confident in trying to explain that it was because the booking agant did not need the security code in the first case but we were pretty up tight and were rather tired Iwanted to leave and find another place

Excellent breakfast, although the plates were very small! The restaurant staff were also very good. Lots of satellite channels on a good sized TV in room. Room was stale-smelling - opening the window told me why - it was badly maintained and had to be lifted into its closing position. Bathroom was mildewed all round the window, probably for same reason. Decor was somewhat dated and beds had blankets rather than quilts. At £65 for one night I thought it overpriced.

The food was good and the rooms were a good size. The hotel was just off the motoway at the services and we would have never stayed if we had known. The hotel looked worn feom the outside. My room had a window that would not shut and hence it was draughty and noisy being by the motoway. The towel rail did not work and the bathroom was cold. The toilet in my sons room lacked space. The hotal was a disappointment and not good value for money and we would not stay again.
