It is always my first choice to of place to staff/entertain when in Edinburgh. Attentive, attractive staff, great bar and great beds.
Lovely hotel in a great location.
What's not to like?
Room Location Food
Room on first floor noisy - bins outside were emptied all through the night!
Excellent service from staff . Great location . Lovely food . Luxury room
Need more signs to show where rooms and lifts are on each floor
Location Bathroom Cleanliness Minibar
Noisy Too hot Can't open windows Lumpy pillows
I liked the atmosphere in Tigerlily. Having stayed before I knew the rooms, bathrooms were nice. Good locations, good choice for breakfast and great room service. Good facilities in the room, fabulous shower.
The pillows on the bed were horrendous. Hardly slept a wink. Really need up dated as they were very uncomfortable last time I stayed too. The heat in the room and hotel overall was almost unbearable.
The staff couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. The room was elegant and quiet, and the location great.
I should have asked for a bath rather than a shower
This hotel had bags of style and is perfect for couples or girlie stays.
Allocation of double room when a twin had been requested. Staff said they could sort it whilst we went out, but not possible when it was one large bed. Surely they knew this.? Then given a twin which was smaller room and not the Luxury twin we were paying for. Had to request a reduction. Quite a lot of time wasted on this. Very busy bar/ nightclub downstairs. Particularly audible on Friday night as people were outside at the back/side below us.
The decor, the staff, the facilities, the location were all amazing. 5/5
Everything, the hotel was beautiful, perfectly located and fabulous staff
We'd dined at tigerlilly previously and vowed to return as guests , The whole place is fantastic , the room we had was very comfortable , the staff were excellent and attentive, we loved it so much were returning again soon
Our room was incredible, food was amazing, staff were very helpful
The bed was comfy The food was very good Ghds in room
Bar expensive Creeky floor in room Decor in hallways drab Remote for tv didn't work
Friendly staff , & wonderful hotel , would definitely recommend this place :))
I would have liked a bath in the bathroom aswell
Everything! - can't wait to go back. Fantastic cocktail bar!
From the minute you walk into the glamour of the hotel you are overwhelmed with the decor the people and the staff! Great atmosphere and stunning surroundings all in an ideal location
Loved the facilities in the room, extra touches like bottled water, well stocked mini bar, ghd straighters, shaving kit, mending kit, ipod full of different music. Room and bathroom were huge. We will definately be back... amazing coctails too!
The only one small downside was the standard lamp between the two chairs in the room was a bit cheap looking, i would get rid of this and replace with a side table to put drinks on with a table lamp. I know thats being picky... but a table would have been the difference of a rating of 99% to 100%
We fell in love with Edinburough, and alot because of Tigerlily. The staff was lovely, the room was luxurious and the food (both breakfast and dinner) was devine! We will return for sure!
staff were all so helpful and plesent, the rooms were very spacious but very dark had to have lights on all the time we were in the room.
noise from the disco until 3am!!!!!
The hotel and restaurant should be five star, staff and hotel are great and be back soon.
We enjoyed and appreciated the high standard of service and quality this hotel offered ,the staff were quietly attentive
Bedrooms were very comfortable. Brilliant location for city centre.
Not signing for breakfast. Parking a pain. Stayed in other cities where hotels have deals in car parks near by.
Our room, which was very quite and spacious. The wet room style shower. The facilities in the room. The breakfast was terrific and could be taken up until 6.00pm on Sundays. The location in George Street. The decor downstairs.
It was quite expensive, but then edinburgh always is! We were upgraded to a luxury room as we had to wait 30 mins over the check in time for a room. I wonder whether our original room would have been so quiet.
The fact that we were told the wine and chocolates where complimentary, when actually my Sisterinlaw had phoned ahead to arrange this and to have a card saying who they were from as it was our 25th WeddingAnniversary at the cost of £27/95 so imagine our embarrassment at not phoning her to appreciate this lovely gift. When we found out we phoned the hotel to say, they apologised and said the manager would phone, still waiting for the call. It's been a difficult year as in2013 I was diagnosed with Ms and this year renal cell cancer hence my Sisterinlaw making this very kind and thoughtful thought, maybe not a big deal to the hotel but itwas to us.
