Recommend arrival by 8 pm, however, if you wish to find any restaurants open. We had to settle for Indian take-out at the only place open in town, although it was pretty good and satisfied our hunger. Not the hotel's fault, though.
Shower was phone-booth size with "low-flow" head. I never understand why some hotels do this because it takes more water to rinse out shampoo and conditioner using low-flow than it does with a nice, strong pressure. Plus it's annoying to folks like me who hate low-flow water fixtures. I've been on my feet all day and they hurt. I don't wish to endure any more pain than necessary so that an innkeeper can save a few extra pennies on their water bill while I attempt to rinse my hair under a tiny trickle of spray. My wife has thick, long hair and this is an even larger issue with her.
Parking was adequate, though a bit tight. Had to back all the way out of the lot as no room to turn around when lot is full. Hardly a deal-breaker though, IMO.
Easy walk to main street of Pitlochry. Late check-in of 11:30 pm was ideal due to long drive for us to get there. Staff was pleasant and eager to please. Delicious Scottish breakfast in very pleasant dining room and attentive service staff. Room was quite comfortable, clean, and everything worked. Only stayed a single night as a rest stop during castle-hopping adventure, but satisfied with our choice. The town looks like a fun place to stay for a longer visit, but unfortunately we had to hit the road right after breakfast.
