Quality food. Comfortable and warm. Stunning views of countryside.
Evening meals were superb, rooms were well decorated and clean staff were very pleasant.
well run family hotel food excellent .great location
every thing,as we have been going there for about 5 years, if we had not been satisfied we would not have gone again, nothing is to much trouble for the owners.
Cleanliness Efficiency of Staff Breakfast food
The bed was very firm The heating couldn't be controlled
Food was so good, real quality home cooked, but with a restaurant flair. Chef is the husband off the owners team. Attentive hostess, the wife of the owners team, so welcoming and great to chat to. Location is perfect, short walk and just off the main street, close to the dam and salmon ladder.
Humping the luggage up the stairs, we had a top floor room, and heavy case, but we are on a three week break to Scotland!
Excellent dinner and breakfast. Welcoming and helpful hosts. Very good location.
Proximity to the town and walks by the river. Faultless experience in total.
This wonderful hotel is just steps from the charming town center, the room was cute and clean, and breakfast was tasty. The staff was helpful and friendly...making this a perfect choice for a visit to Pitlochry!
Nothing to dislike here!
- room was lovely - had a great view - plenty food at breakfast - didn't eat in, but evening menu looked enjoyable.
Attentive staff. They helped us w luggage, provided guidance in our travels. Shared some knowledge on Irish Whiskey as we sampled some, very helpful. Pleasant stay, would go back.
Mattress pad may have been a little lumpy, still slept great though.
Welcome and being allowed to stay in because of bad weather even though we had checked out . Lovely bedroom and good breakfast .
Shower not very powerful
large clean room at around £55 was good value. I have paid a lot more in some places for average rooms. The location was set back from the main road so was quiet which is one of thr reasons for choosing this hotel. We enjoyed our stay and would return.
Shower not efficient, bath water tepid.
proximity to town centre. Good breakfast.
Hotel, staff, place,...
Lovely location. Good food. Friendly staff
This is a lovely small hotel run by a lovely couple. The room was very comfortable, and nicely decorated with a lovely view out over the well-kept garden and Pitlochry town. 2 minute walk into the town centre and shops and attractions. Ample parking (there are only about 9 or 10 rooms). Great, friendly and efficient service at breakfast and, if you wish, evening meals are available, offering traditional scottish fare, which is well worth sampling. Definitely recommend this if you are a couple looking for a quiet hotel with a personal touch. Our room was looking out towards the town, giving a lovely view of the hills around Pitlochry. Not sure what sort of view the rear rooms have
Nothing to dislike about this hotel, but if you find it difficult to get upstairs the few stairs are quite steep. I think there is one bedroom downstairs.
Tigh Na Cloich is a beautiful old house with a wonderful view from the sitting room of the hills across the valley. Helen, the owner, is attentive and very pleasant. We enjoyed an excellent dinner and breakfast. The wine list was good and the dinner menu nicely varied. The room was spacious and quiet.
The mattress might benefit from a foam "topper" as the pillow stitching made it feel a bit lumpy. Also, the room was rather cool, which was good for sleeping but not so comfortable when coming out of the shower.
Liked the location and staff very friendly.
It is an older property with the inherent challenges that creates - stairs are a little steep, rooms a little small.
The rooms were comfortable and very clean, the breakfast was very good and there was a wide selection available.
Staff excellent.friendly. Breakfast lovely ate out most evening to explore town. hotel was very central to all our needs. Rooms very clean & the Wifi worked really well
Easy walk to main street of Pitlochry. Late check-in of 11:30 pm was ideal due to long drive for us to get there. Staff was pleasant and eager to please. Delicious Scottish breakfast in very pleasant dining room and attentive service staff. Room was quite comfortable, clean, and everything worked. Only stayed a single night as a rest stop during castle-hopping adventure, but satisfied with our choice. The town looks like a fun place to stay for a longer visit, but unfortunately we had to hit the road right after breakfast.
Recommend arrival by 8 pm, however, if you wish to find any restaurants open. We had to settle for Indian take-out at the only place open in town, although it was pretty good and satisfied our hunger. Not the hotel's fault, though. Shower was phone-booth size with "low-flow" head. I never understand why some hotels do this because it takes more water to rinse out shampoo and conditioner using low-flow than it does with a nice, strong pressure. Plus it's annoying to folks like me who hate low-flow water fixtures. I've been on my feet all day and they hurt. I don't wish to endure any more pain than necessary so that an innkeeper can save a few extra pennies on their water bill while I attempt to rinse my hair under a tiny trickle of spray. My wife has thick, long hair and this is an even larger issue with her. Parking was adequate, though a bit tight. Had to back all the way out of the lot as no room to turn around when lot is full. Hardly a deal-breaker though, IMO.
Tigh Na Cloich Hotel was one of the best stays we had on our trip through Scotland. The room was cozy with a high-quality bathroom. The hotel has a garden and terrace looking down upon the city. We had an excellent dinner and were guided through the whisky menu afterwards :-) The hosts and staff were extremely friendly and gave us some good advice concerning our onward trip. We felt very much at home!
The town is interesting and the area quite pretty. The B&B was great and we enjoyed our stay. I would recommend this to anyone.
We stayed the night on our way from vacation on the Isle of Harris to a meeting in Edinburgh, so arrived very tired. The food in the hotel was good, the WiFi worked well, and after a brief walk along Pitlochy's pleasant main street, we slept like logs.
Getting our rented Mercedes B-class into the one remaining parking space was a bit of a squeeze.
